Stock Supercharger Pulley and other mods...just thinking
I have been thinking about what mod I would like to try next. If your not aware, I'm piecing my performance parts together on a limited budget (medical bills) and old fashioned common sense hot rodding. I've got the DIY CAI done, 181 pulley, and tune. Running extremely rich so I'm safe to mod some more or I'll need to get Jerry to retune to lean it up. I know a lot of members have been installing the new Eurocharged supercharger pulley and was wondering if anyone would like to get rid of their stock pulley. I've thought about having the stock pulley machined down just slightly. Don't think I want to get down to the size of the Eurocharged but some where inbetween. Run slightly stacked, from my wideband it looks like I have the fuel and I can monitor and datalog to stay safe.
Also, I'm thinking of porting my stock intakes or getting a spare to port and weld on new tubes. Might do some port matching to the supercharger and open up the y pipe some. Just thinking...

There is a used stock crank pulley on ebay for $99 and it comes with a belt too.

Keep in mind, adding boost will also add more heat. Higher IAT's can decrease timing and rob power. More boost may do wonders on a nice dyno, but at the track the high IAT's can really slow you down. I have the Johnson pump and ebay heat exchanger on my XF in an effort to keep it cool, but I'm still seeing 150F temps at the track.
Just wanted to advise you of the pitfalls associated with chasing more boost.
As for the modified intake manifolds, I think that's a great idea. As for the pulley, post up in the classifieds section and someone should be able to help you out. I recently purchased one as a backup, but I really don't want to part with it.
By the way, I see you're only 2 hours from Steele, Alabama. Steve and I plan on taking a trip down there to run at the dragstrip this December. I hope you can join us.

I will fab up my own supercooler, that won't be too difficult of a project. Might even do a remote mount tank to help out. I will be installing a relay and switch to kick on the ic pump and fans when the car is off, this will help somewhat with heat soak inbetween runs. I've also always iced the intake on every car I've owned when going to strip. Usually also keep a garden sprayer with a methanol water mix to spray the radiator. In this case, the intercooler.
- Can't believe it but I'm going to put the resonator back on, I just don't like the drone. It's really not that bad just right at the rpm's I drive on the interstate. I must be getting old. I'll probably try to source some electric cut outs and use those at the strip. Quiet on the street and loud as hell on the strip plus a few horses. That one fake button on the lower console would be a slick place to install a real switch to cut them on.
181 pulley and cut down oem s/c pulley and you will most likely exceed the rpm limit for the blower. best stacked setup was a 178mm crank and 68 mm s/c pulley. thats way below what your attempting. more research needed before you have to buy grips spare s/c!!
no need to reinstall the resonator. add an x pipe as close to the front as possible. should kill any drone you have

Good luck on your modifying. I was chicken to cut the inlet pipes on mine, I want a spare set.
