62mm SRT6 Pulley Available Now
While I don't recall hearing about any stock SRT-6/SLK32/C32 pulleys flying apart yet, I hadn't heard of any Stock E55/SL55 pulleys flying apart before my SL55's stock pulley had a near-catastrophic failure (noticed it wobbling with 2 of 3 "dog-bones" cracked/broken and got if off before it flew apart).
It is not my intention to scare anyone into putting something on their car, I just made something I wanted/needed on my car and am making it available to anyone else who wants one as well. I put a bit of thought into the design in an effort to make it both functional and attractive while making it available at a price that I would gladly pay if someone else had made it rather than I.
Should this go on a car with the Stock SC pulley ? At this price I think it is an inexpensive source of "piece of mind". I will certainly put one on my SLK32 (with Karmen pulley) AND my son's SLK32 (with stock SC pulley).
Cheers,
Chris
Go ahead and put me on the list for one then.
I see the point and if I don't get one, it'll fail and I'll always regret not getting something to prevent costly damage to other parts. Kind of like the tipover bars on my bike, they save that expensive Tupperware from damage in the event of an oops!!!
Hi Doc,
I am scheduled to get the first article of the stainless/updated version on 11-5-14 for inspection (test fit, etc) ... so I should be able to post some pics of the updated one then.
If all goes well, I am scheduled to get the rest on 11-10-14 and will be able to send them out after I inspect them.
Cheers,
Chris

Hi Rudy, Would you happen to have any more of the bearings for the Karman 62mm pulley? Mine has
started to make some noise and I'm swapping back to the Code 3 until I can get a proper bearing for the Karman.
If you don't have any more, would the bearing I saw 180 had a posted a listing for with part number
NSK#32BD4718DUK be the proper replacement? This pulley has been a great addition, and I do want to get this re-installed.
Thanks!

go back and read post 1 in fact read the entire post ,, Rudy had these made,, and did NOT USE ALUMINUM, they are made with stainless steel, or something ,,anyway they are made like the factory ones, just smaller. I don't know if he has any left or if he is doing another batch. ask him? jim
Here is a picture of the NSK replacement for the 62mm Karmen (and the box it comes in). I would search by the number on the box ... although you may find it by the number on the seal also.

Thanks for sharing the image and info. I've got one soon to be shipped already, but I'll stash that in my Crossfire folder for future reference and sharing with others.
I have that same replacement bearing that you show. What I thought was interesting is that in addition to the #32 BD 4718 DUK, on the other side (covered with plastic in your pictures) it is marked NSK JAPAN 747. But on the opposite face it has NSK JAPAN 748. It was extremely difficult to read, even w/ a magnifying glass. Anyone know why 747 on one side, and 748 on the other? Or were my old eyes deceiving me?

mine says 7 19 on one side and 720 on the other I suspect those are lot numbers. keep in mind all the information on the seal is just information for the seal. that's why you want and use the number on the box ... although searching the number on the seal may find somebody else who is using the number that's on the seal for the same bearing you're looking for...
