Wanted to show hood temps on a hot day
I came home from Carlisle on a hot day this summer and took some photos of the hood temps on my crossfire. It was over 100, and I saw 104 degrees on rte 66 at over 70 mph.
I have included shots that show the temps over my vents while the engine is running and the fan running. You can see the hotter air exhausting from the vents and the temp of the hood in the sun, being much cooler.
This is the hood that I ventilated to promote better cooling. You can see that the water temp is about 203 -205 at over 100 ambient with the A/C running --to force the fan to keep running.
The hood liner has long since been removed to help rejection.
Enjoy, Woody
Click on the photo and then see the album, this forum is getting messed up and hard to use.
