Default looking for replacement auto darkening interior mirror

slk32
the old one has developed what appears to be tarnish stain - quite strange 'cause they move around a little - but namely along the bottom edge.
I suspect it might be a humidity related thing since the car has been parked outside for a few months and the air vents are set to "fresh".

links for a replacement appreciated.

The 2004 model had the auto-dim mirror. I bought 3 of them from www.car-guts.com last year for $25 a shot, but now I see that that yard has gone to $75.
( used one, sold one, and gave one to maxcichon )

Car-Part.com--Used Auto Parts Market - look for 2004 model ONLY interior mirror : I see some there at $20

It is pretty easy to wire in the 12v from the garage door module, there is a thread on here somewhere about that, but it is a real bi**h to remove and install the new mirror itself.

The 04's came with this auto dimming mirror, you can fit one easily.

cant seem to find a "glass" only replacement ....
there is a company that can do the swap=a=roo for you ....$95 in US but $175 internationally.
replacement seems difficult and they offer your mirror back if they break it in the process....hmmm.

found parts.com and autohaus have the complete unit.
Parts.com dont do int. shipping though.
Autohaus are $50 dearer....and I have to get an order from them anyways - so might add it in.
