All I can say is WOW you do feel the Ponies !

At any point in throttle responce it has all kinds of power !

Is it worth the almost twice the cost of 2 stock 04s ? Only if you love 0-60@ 5 seconds .My everyday driving no.Weekend fun maybe.

The brakes feel even better!

If I could get an SRT6 in the Coupe body, I would upgrade.

 

that Extra 2 seconds faster feeling is awsome.After driving it I decided to just use more pedal on mine,not the same but worth every penny !

One thing though the rear tires were the same size as the stock XF I thought they were to have 1 size larger ! Is this a mistake.It had 255/35/19

The areo blue was nice but I still love the Alabaster!

a local dealer removed the big srt wing at the customers request...filled the holes and resprayed the hatch...for the clean look.

i bet the customer signed a big waiver for the rear down force issue at high speeds.

 

Can't they put the autowing in ?It seems like it would be easy to do !

 

Unfortunately this is forbidden in Europe, because the wing is a relevant part for the car's safety because of the rear down force. Without the wing the car is too light at the rear when braking down from speeds exceeding 120MPH. I admid it is just a relevant problem when driving on the German Autobahn, but that's the law.

 

Ask the dealer how much they want for the wing REDCROSS and I love it and HE (WE) want one!!!!!!!!!!!!

 

I'm trying to get an SRT-6 this weekend ! I'll sell the wing maybe for exchanging the auto one !Even up !Let me know.If you can do?

 

Sounds great with me. the only thing is we both will have some body shop painting to do.
My wing assembly system is Red and I suppose you will be staying with Alabaster.
BTW, I found out today that DC DOES NOT OFFER RED as a SRT6 color choice.
ONLY Alabaster, SSB, AERO Blue and Black....................that's it!!

I didn't see that Alabaster was an SRT color I have to check that out .I may get SSB or Graphite.

 

The reason I know is that I went out over the weekend seeking a RED SRT6. Found One Black at one Dealer, another Black at another Dealer and then a AERO Blue at another Dealer. Two other Dealers had NONE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I drove the AERO.............................................. THAT'S WHAT I'M TALKING ABOUT!!!!!!!
When I said check all inventory for a RED one the list came back "0"!!!!!!!!
Then I said "ORDER" second block Color..................RED NOT A CHOICE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
So I came down off of cloud nine and been pouting ever since...................

 

I DON'T UNDERSTAND WHY THEY DON'T HAVE ALL COLORS ON THE SRTs .I BELIEVE THEY HAVE BLACK,AREO BLUE,SSB,GRAPHITE.

 

Me either. I (IMHO) thought RED was very popular and would have been included. In fact, I thought yellow would have been at the top of the list in color choices. I know a lot of folks don't care for the yellow but the super rarity on a SRT would make sense to me.

 

Where do you guys live? I have been to several dealerships and not one srt-6. I havnt even seen one on the road. But dan yes the 2 seconds is worth the money. now you know why i call the base crossfire slow. My mach 1 has the speed of the srt-6. And almost all my other cars were as fast or faster. But I only got 30 payments left. LOL Can't wait to test drive the srt-6. Would like to trade it in. But I'm sure not taking a 7k hit. 7 grand of negative equity and i owe 27k so do the math. I got more for my 03 mach 1 trade in with more miles and I only paid 23k and got 22.5 trade in. So looks like im a crossfire owner for certain for the next 2 and half years.

 

THE THING I DON'T LIKE IS....THEY ARE ALL DARKER COLORS....HARD TO KEEP CLEAN AND SWIRL FREE.

 

I live in Ventura county and both local dealers have SRTs at MSRP and no bites yet.

Local dealer let me drive the SRT6 for 24 hours. Love the horsepower, the ride is very choppy. With out a six speed transmission, the vehicle does not reach its potential. Hope the Roadster is better
