Default Checking interest on my SRT

I am pretty sure one of the first questions/responses will be for pics and they are coming; I totally understand, just waiting for it to warm just a little here.
She is clean and ready for pictures as she always is.

BUT for now, since no money is changing hands, please consider that the car is near PERFECT coupe (which I will prove)---20,700 miles---garaged its whole life---Hankook V-12 tires less than 5,000 miles ago---Graphite in color---has navigation (for what it is worth)---NO marks on seats.

NEVER hit and ZERO paint work---Paint is perfect like it should be. I do not drive that much as you can tell, since I work out of the house.

It has K&N air filters (from Grip Grip) and the stereo mod know as "Best bang for the buck" and that is it---all stock and I have owned since 917 miles.
Purchased is April 2010.

The car still has nearly 20 months of Chrysler Factory Plan which can be transferred (will check on details)---7/2015.

Please let me know your thoughts.

Thanks, Jimmy

I am interested to know ACTUAL recent sales of SRT coupes with similar mileage should anyone know.
MMR shows wholesale between high $12's and low $14's in the last 60 days, but this is only part of the picture.

I would like to see what were the actual transaction prices if anyone could help, so I could price "right" from the start and be able to back in up.
Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks, Jimmy

Well it seems your timing is right. There seems to be a couple of folks interested in low mileage SRTs.

IMO you''re close to the price for a low mileage well kept, and warranted car. $14K- $16K sounds about right.

I always wanted that color....beautiful car. I was thinking getting another for a daily, but other things have come up, like a rear end gear change, new grilles, and my wife wanting new appliances...so I will pass, but I believe with the warranty, and the mileage, you are on the high side of what the market is. I have seen some higher mileage cars selling for 12.5...recently. Good luck, wish I had the $$$$ I would be interested for sure...

Thanks guys---She is nice Doc and I love the color!

Starting yesterday, I have a standing offer from a dealer friend for $14,400, because this is clean wholesale and he would not have a buy fee with a hand sale or even a detail so he said because the car is so clean---It did, however, take 15 minutes to get to this price.
Since he can not use the warranty, I would get some money (very little is my guess, but I have not checked yet) back because I have not used it at all.
So, I should net wholesale right at $15,000.

Of course, I was hoping for a little more because I know my friend would get it, and I understand this since I have been in the business. He would (and I am guessing here) start in the high $16's or low $17's and work from there and THEN---SELL---a warranty if he could. I have watched him sell warranties for $1795 and they are at best HALF the Chrysler Factory Plan when it comes to coverage. His would be a full 3 years at that price but the SC and other parts would not be covered, if I remember correctly without paying more money over the $1795.

I was thinking something in the higher $16's, since 20 months worth of coverage is already in this price and the tires are "deep".
But I wanted to hear what was actually trading hands---The old "money talks" thing. Actual sales tell the story.

So, if anyone knows what a coupe went for with under 25k, this would be great.

Thanks again, Jimmy

I think you are right there... and the market where you are is probably a lot better than where I am. We have a lot of GM, Chrysler, Ford, Toyota, and Honda employees around me. They get their discounts and stay within their lines for the most part. So, XF's are not a big thing around here. I hate to see you part with it. I still think they are classics whether they bring big dollars someday or not. Good luck either way. You know you will miss it. This old car guy has been tempted to go back to bowties a few times. Then I get in one of the XF's and go ripping around town for awhile and get over it...

You are correct about the market. Nashville is on the upper end; not as bad as Riverside CA or a few others but on the upper side of middle for sure.

I worked with a guy who would have several men either drive or fly out of town and buy cars and send them back to Nashville. His company moved about 370 to 400 cars a month just wholesale here in Nashville and then another 35 or so on the retail lot. There is another company even larger. Nashville is a good market price wise for wholesaling cars.

I will miss it, but it may be time right now. Thanks for the input. Jimmy

I sold my black SRT last Feb for $17,500 with 20k and 14 months of warranty left. I bought it with 4 k miles and owned it for 5 years. I just bought an SRT roadster this weekend with 79k for 9800

If I were looking for another SRT6 yours would be exactly what I wanted, and (if it looks/drives as good in person as you say) I'd gladly pay your price, without hesitation. However, buyers like me are few and far between...

I just sold my SRT6 Coupe, one that's very similar to yours (condition, etc) except mine had 4x the miles, for $10K.

Thanks for the information. I have seen prices in this range on Autotrader but I did not know if the cars traded at these prices---looks like they do or did....

Thanks again.

Thanks for the reply---I am still gathering my research and your information will help.
From what I have found, miles on these cars are "worth" about a dime or so per mile.
Your sales price falls right in this range.......

Thanks again, Jimmy

Just take your time and post it where you can get national exposure i.e autotrader, cargurus, etc. It took me awhile to sell mine but anything that is SRT6 coupe or convertible with low miles is in demand and a lot of buyers are willing to travel or have the car shipped. Good luck! When I sold mine the buyer didn't even consider negotiating, he just paid my price because he knew what he was getting and the warranty makes a big difference. There are not that many SRT6's that have much, if any, warranty left.

About how long did it take?
Those are the two sites I was going to use plus Craig's List just because it is free.
Thanks again, Jimmy

It took me over a month. You can also go on ebay and post a classified ad for free if you keep it local and not a whole lot more to get it listed nationally. The nice thing about it is if someone does a search on Google, Bing, etc. for an SRT6 these ads pop up pretty frequently. Cargurus does a nice job of letting a buyer know if it is a great, good, fair, bad deal. You are the proud owner of what is now considered a special interest car and to get the most for it you have to reach out to a large market area. I am flying from Ohio to Georgia to pick mine roadster up. Again, good luck. Also, post as many detailed "good quality" pics as you can! It is nice when a long distance potential buyer can download a high resolution picture and zoom way in on something without creating a lot of distortion.
