Default Cant get over 100/120??

Ok i need some ideas. Ive spoken with philip bee but im going to a dealership maybe they can tell me but i wanted to ask yall. So heres the deal. Car runs 100% fine no problems. And today i see a nice open road so i punch it and fly all the way to 100 and accel. Stops dead like it goverened or somethin. And i smell this like cooked
Smell not burnt just cooked. So i stop and start from 0 and i shift by hand 0-6000 rpm 1,2,3,4 and then drive and it gets around 4k and 120 mph and just stops again like it goverend. It crawls to 124 then just declines itself even though im in the pedal. So i have checked the oil the fuel pump the coolant all is good pulleys are stock? Any ideas???? I cant even cruise i can cruise into 116-118 and then it stops itself and wont go any more??????

Sounds like the beginning of the IC pump failure at the upper end of the RPM range. It will probably start happening at lower RPM soon. The supercharger is shutting down and going into limp mode as a fail safe mode, otherwise the heat will cook the supercharger. The replacement of the IC Pump is about $125.00 + installation charges if you don't do it yourself.
Use the search button and look up IC Pump failures.....

Its not the speed limiting function of the cruise control ????
Check your manual....

That was my initial thought! That is had a speed limiter at 120 but that doesnt explain A. How it randomly limited at 100 and B. How right after that i easily hit 125. And then theres rhe fac that theres been a few times ill hit in low gears and get nothing out if it now i understand why i do believe it is the intercooler pump. Thank god its a simple fix

Sounds like the correct pump. Mine went just like yours did @ about 20,000 miles. The first SRT-6 aall had a number ending in 02 and all of those went out. It should have been a recall as many were replaced on Warranty. Just be sure not to buy an 02, be sure to get the 10.

Just for the record, my 02 was still working fine when I replaced it with a 10 last month. It had just under 28,000 miles on it.
Old pump.

Ch
anging pump, note hose clamps.

New pump. I just stuck the obsolete hose back on the old nipple.

I just did mine Friday. Before that I couldn't figure out why I could get lots of torque from a stop, but when I got going and pounced on it at 40mph, no supercharger! After the install, supercharger works all the time! Very cool!

Fuel.........supercharger will cause it to fall on its nose. But, I think you have a fuel problem. Supercharger pump failure will cause it to buck as well, kicking in and out. You stated it just falls off. If it is fine when cold, but does this when it gets to temp, then the pump may be the cause. If it runs strong up to 120 and falls on it's nose, then I would say a fuel pump, or fuel restriction problem.

I too do not think it is the pump, if it was it would fail at lower speeds when the car was hot. I am sure you do go at lower speeds, I cannot see you doing over 100 mph all the time.

Ok so an update and praying its the pump. It does do it al low speeds to ill pounce at 40-60 and it feels worse than a pruis it just doesnt even want to accelerate. Today this happened and i parked it. I went 0-40 and what i think was second gear it wouldnt shift anymore like at all just high RPMS. I tried slapping and slowing down and stopping and it still wouldnt change when i slapped it stayed in D, i stopped shut it off parked it turned it on and it lemme go so i went home and parked. Still thinking its the IC PUMP going into limp mode to keep me in 2nd

one ez thing to do....if its something with the TCM....
A TCM reset
1) Key to Pos2
2) foot on Accel. to the floor - keep it there
3) Key to Pos0 but don't pull out
4) foot off accel.
5) sit there for 2 mins and don't touch a thing (or door).
6) remove key

Go for normal start....

I had issues where I would accelerate and when I took foot off pedal it would shift down then go to nuetral even though it showed I was in drive.

Solution was to check trans fluid and I was 1 qt low. Now no more tranny issues.

tranny fluid -
If you don't want to fork out the $30 for one, You can use a 3ft piece of dark curtain wire as a dipstick
I recall - at 80degC the high tide mark needs to be 50mm off the bottom of the dipstick.

No, I think you also have to replace the IC pump, it's cheap and the repair is very doable. My performance was night and day after the swap.

If you mean it does it at low speeds, then stays in second gear then I would say you have problems with the solenoid electrical plate in the transmission. When there are troubles here the tranny goes into limp mode.
Valve, solenoid, speed sensor, etc problems cause this.

Have you had the engine fault codes read? If not do it. Why waste time looking for a problem that good always have been recorded.

Resetting any system is a waste of time, that just fine tunes what is already working, they solve no hard problems.

Alright pump is swapped... Still doing it... Sigh... Oddly there was almost no fluid drainage when i did it? I had to go help a friend move so when i get home ill check my resevior snd pray its that and not something in the transmission because that just sounds scary and expensive...

You should have had a lot of coolant drain when swapping. Your pump is not pumping coolant, so the intercooler is not cooling off.
