Supercharger Coolant Pump and Coolant
I am in the middle of changing out my coolant pump for the supercharger but here are some issues... First. The pump that is installed is not OEM and not an OEM replacement part... I ordered the Bosch replacement pump a few weeks ago, I managed to get the connector as you'll be able to see it wasn't there on the current pump. Secondly, I have to make a new bracket out of steel wire to fit the current holes to hold the bigger pump in place... Finally, once I remove the current pump and the fluid drains... Do I fill it from the coolant cap on the radiator? I heard that it's a separate system that's why I'm asking, if anyone has info that'd be helpful!

if the system is poem then its not separated. many do separate the system for added cooling and if it is then there should be a filler point either on the heat exchanger or a tank. if not then fill from the radiator.
If you pinch off the hoses, you will only loose a couple ounces. Please tell me you didn't take the headlight assy out for this job.
I'm not convinced that the Johnson is an upgrade. I bought one from EC and it lasted all of 2k miles, money thrown away. I went to the Bosch replacement and all has been fine for 2 years.
From what I can see of the pictures the original clamp is being used and does fit the new pump and did fit the Johnson as well if I remember correctly. If so why the new fangled strap?
The thinking these days is to go with the Bosch 0 392 022 010 which is a direct replacement of the 002 pump and the impeller does not fly to pieces.

The pump I went to was the 010 Bosch. The Johnson pump is smaller in diameter and did not have a rubber sleeve but I was wondering about that rigged strap myself.
I had a spare Johnson, sounds like every man should, but I replaced the OEM pump with the Bosch 010 before the OEM one flew apart.
The trouble with using that strapping is that it is hard to clamp down if the holes do not align just right.
Sorry I've been away, yes I had heard taking out the headlight was necessary. Although it was a PAIN to get out, it did make the whole process much easier! The new pump has never faltered even at full throttle for extended periods, as far as fitting the bracket to hold it in place the 'Holy Metal' jig works very well and I ended up putting a small bolt through two of the holes once the pump was in place and secured it with a nut, it took all the slack out of the metal banding and there is no wiggle room. It worked better than expected actually!
For anyone looking to do this, even though it's a pain, the pump is much easier to work with when the headlight is removed.
Tape EVERYTHING when removing headlight assembly, the adjustment nuts on the bottom of the housing would wreck havoc on the paint!!!
If you're looking for a wiring harness (Yellow and leads seen in last picture) go DIRECTLY to Mercedes, I had talked to 4 Chrysler shops and nobody could help at all...
Provided you had all the required tools and supplies ahead of time (Unlike me) this can easily be completed in 2 hours max

A little extra that may help.
Really easy to get to with the front bumper cover removed! More pictures of the pump area and how to separate the systems in this thread.

I like the heat exchanger that I purchased from EC, although the mounting system didn;t knock my socks off, so I devised a better method. It is shorter thicker and wider than stock, doesn't cover as much of the main radiator as stock and with a couple mods to get more airflow has kept my temps in control.
