Default Expected performance with mods

So yesterday I was at an American Cars Sunday on the Zandvoort circuit here in Holland. Lots of great cars, mainly the usual Firebirds, GTs, RAMs, but also a couple 300Cs, one actually doing drag races. I don't recall his times, except he went 160kph over the quarter mile line afaik.

It got me a bit hyped up so I was looking for what the possibilities are for our SRT (in my case a 05 Roadster with 55k km).

Some shops here have a Stage 2 chiptune giving 380HP with 485Nm (https://www.procartuning.nl/chiptuni...-6-335-pk.html ). Thats only the ECU. If I would also add or only mod the intake with a DCAI from needswings, thats also quite a boost.

Anyone more info? The info is quite scatered on this website. Dragtimes have some records of stock cars doing 12 or 11 second drags, which is quite fast. Jim seems to have made 10s with a different engine afaik.

Thanks in advance

with ecu,,tcu,,,headers (Needswings) open up your exhaust and a intake (needswingts) or a E55 intake system.larger heat exchanger (needswings) , you can expect high 11's or low 12's that is about it with the V6,,, jim
put in a V8 (E55 or SL55 then mid 11's with out any mods. I have another (sold my black 10.55 second crossfire) crossfire that i just put aV8 into it ,,,is it for sale yes for the right offer,, ran 11.78 no mods,, doing the exhast to 3" soon then the ecu and pulleys jim

Thanks for your response. I'm not really want to go dragracing, I'm just wondering what power I could out of the car with the mods. I don't want to go all-in right away, just see what the options are

with these mods you can expect 345 to 350 HP at the wheels each mod help each other, at the flywheel you have 348HP but at the wheels you have about 317. do one mod at a time,, intake,,, then ecu,, then exhaust ( remove the rear cats.),,then ecu that may be all u may want. that makes the car faster than most firebirds,,,corvetts and mustangs good luck. jim

I'm not sure how the law and my neighbors are willing to accept the removal of the cats. Driving away already makes kind of a statement heh .
What do you mean with 348HP at the flywheel and 317HP at the wheels? Is that without the mods?

Yes, That's without mods. Parasitical and drive train losses result in the lower number at the wheels. Frankly, wheel horse power is the only number that matters. I got 293 whp before doing any mods on my car, and am now at 355.

Thanks, that sounds fair. What mods do you have? I am a bit confused on what the pulley mod does.

First of all.

you cannot expect 380 hp just with a tune.

most of the srt6, slk+c32 amg`s are between 330 - 350 stock bone.

you can expect a realistic 15 hp with just a tune.

i would go with tune, 65mm pulley and K&N fillters. you do not need the Needswings or SL55 dcai. With the listed mods +35 -40 hp and much more torque than stock. don`t trust the tuner numbers.. do a initial dyno and a dyno after mods.

most of the srt6, slk+c32 amg`s are between 330 - 350 stock bone. again crank not wheel

you can expect a realistic 15 hp with just a tune. I think more than 15 but 15 is a good number

i would go with tune, 65mm pulley supercharger pulley , if u do a pulley crank or supercharger ,,,GET A AFR GUAGE
yes you do need an intake ,,Needswings) 10 to 20 hp depending on the other mods or a e55 intake 5 to 15 hp (an engine is a air pump you have to get air in and out to make power others have done the dyno test for you just get a AFR (air fuel ratio) don't go over 12.9 (to lower it add fuel ) some pulleys makes your air fuel ratio too high example a 65mm supercharge pulley with no other mod your AFR will be close to 13 if not over. jim

Hi da55id! So the crossovers (imf) add up 15 horses? Still issues with AFR?

I’m estimating my results. I still need to get the crossovers dyno tested. I had to get the sl55 fuel pump and now it pulls like crazy. I know that’s not scientific LOL. I will do the dyno sometime this spring and post thr results.
