Default remove vacuum line

Can you tell me how to remove the brake booster vacuum line from the supercharger without damaging the fitting? I have depressed the tabs and can pull the white fitting out about a half inch, but then it stops. You can see the white part of the quick connect fitting in the attached photo. I'm afraid I may damage the entire fitting if I try to force it out by pulling harder. I would like to replace that vacuum line. reuse the white end piece on the new vacuum line ( not an oem line as it comes with the white piece attached to a new oem line). The black part of the fitting which is attached to the supercharger has a couple pieces. Does the complete black piece unscrew or what??

The white piece is part of the vacuum line. There should be a collar on the black part to push in towards the charger to release its hold on the white part of the line.

As long as you have the black connect piece squeezed as you pull out the brake booster line you'll be fine. I know it seem like putting force on it might cause it the snap but that line is pretty tough and can take some bending. Just pull and wiggle it out, it'll come out before you think its about to snap into pieces.

Also the connect tab on the blower does come off after you've removed the booster line. If your removing the blower, id pull tha tab off as it can be broken while removing or putting the blower back on as ive broken one. Thankfully needswings had a spare one off a broken blower he didnt need that he sold to me as you cannot replace that part.

OK, I'll give that another try. I can see the end of the white piece and it has what appears to be soft red ribbed rubber around it's end circumference. That red rubber I believe gives the seal to the line when it is inserted tightly, and it increases the circumference. It is the red rubber I believe that is hung up on the bottom of the two tabs and preventing the white piece from completely coming out. As I back the white piece out I'm going to try and raise at least one of the two tabs and get that thing disconnected.
I do not want to take off the supercharger. I do not want to take the hose off the white end piece until I have it free from the supercharger. Once it is off the car I can use some heat and a razor blade to save the white piece for my new vacuum line.
I do not understand what you mean by " Also the connect tab". Are you referring to the black fitting that is actually attached to the supercharger?
Thank you for your help!!

Sorry, but it doesn't work that way. It is not that type of fitting.

Yeah by connect tab I was referring to the tab connected to the blower. That part locks the brake booster line into the blower securely. The white piece your seeing is from the booster line, it is all the booster line. I dont think its possible to break the booster line as ive had mine off about 10 times and have bent and turned it all kinds of ways.

Since your seeing that much of the white part the line should be disconnected from the blower, you just need to pull it out. If I remember correctly, removing the TB does give you more room to do this.

I see the problem. Your fitting is broken.

Tuna glove, your picture in post #8 shows a broken/incomplete black fitting. The complete fitting has an outer black piece with two tabs which when pushed in allows the vacuum line to be pulled out about a half inch, but the red end will not easily pass out any further than the tabs which are on the outer black cover of the fitting. It would appear that the outer black piece is not necessary to keep the vacuum line locked in place and sealed. I would like to keep the original fitting complete and undamaged though it may not be necessary. My car has 7,000 miles, I'm the second owner and am confident the fitting on my supercharger is as it came from the factory.
You have been very helpful though as now I know better how to proceed in removal.
Tuna glove, when you disconnect the vacuum hose from the supercharger, does the red piece stay on the supercharger, or does it remain on the vacuum line and comes off the car with the line?
Thank you.

Okay, got it off with no damage:

The cap with the two tabs is removed from the fitting. I could not get it off by hand. I used a very small screw driver and got it started near a tab and was able to separate it from the fitting without breaking it. The cap will then slide down the vacuum line and get out of the way. Then you can pull the white part out a little and push the red piece towards the supercharger which releases it's grip on the white part and you pull the white part free and out of the fitting.

Two more pictures:

This is the cap with the two tabs which must be slide up the hose and out of the way in order to get to the red ring which must be pushed in toward the supercharger to separate the vacuum hose from the supercharger.

out and undamaged
