Manual Transmission Swap

While an interesting concept on what the end results will truly turn out to be...I have a feeling this is idea is going to turn into another "dreamer's mod"...
So I joined this forum because I am thinking of getting an SRT. Like many out there I am fed up with many decisions GM has been making lately. However, I also strongly prefer a manual over an auto. I joined simply to figure out if this would be possible. It seems that the moral of Chrysler owners is even more negative then GM has become. This is the decision factor for me. Can the 6 speed be done in the SRT. Among other countless reasons having a manual keeps my friends from taking my cars for a drive. If anyone has anything positive to contribute in regards to this process, let me know. If not, don't bother. I do not need to hear about what you think can be done.

There is no "plug-and-play" manny transmission that will work on the SRT so if you have the time, money and desire to find a donor and put one in...knock your self out.

The whole concept seems a bit crazy to me... It would probably be easier and cheaper to do it the other way around. Drop a SRT6 motor into the Limited. Everything will line-up and you won't have to manufacture a clutch pedal into the car... Good luck...
