Hey Robert….
Man, that’s a big ol trip on a fresh build but if all goes smooth then yes, Denise & I will be there… I wanted to make the Hotel reservation B4 the Feb. 28 deadline but just couldn’t pull the trigger with confidence.
We would love to see you all again and going back to the old stomping grounds is always nice….
Just have to play it by ear for now….

That’s not a bad idea and a generous offer at that, although mrmiata has already claimed the SRT6. Worst case, I could be the tools, parts, tires guy and give Dennis & Pat a break for a change….. Do they really have a Crossfire?

You are a funny guy Steve and yes they have a rare Silver crossfire. Not to be confused with the SSB color.

We had the great pleasure of meeting Dennis & Pat at the beginning of CAA4 and Dennis was so much fun convincing everyone he did in fact have a Crossfire. He passed around a nice photo album for all to see. We teased him “yeah right, what ever” sure you do, etc. They are just the nicest couple ever, hope they can make the trip.

Well I didn't know what I got myself into when I picked up the divorce papers at lunch yesterday. Her and I sat down to do them after I got off work and 4 hours later had to call it a night. I would have been pretty late your time, sorry about that. I'll try and call you tonight when I'm free, if I'm free. Sorry Steve, she just wants this to be done as fast as possible.

Your SRT ECU has not even been touched, so it's ready for first crank wiring test. The 55K just needs a half an hour of my time and it'll be ready.

Man, if I wasn't going through all this crap, I would totally be down to go!

Only 2 more! lol

I'm hoping so, it's really messing with my head. But to keep my mind off stuff I've kept busy collecting her crap and getting it out of my house . Then I've been going through and in depth cleaning everything since she never cleaned anything lol. Floors are all tile for the entire house and every tile was steam cleaned, the bed was steam cleaned (had to wash the B!*** out of it ), laundry and dishes done, it looks like an entirely new house. Nothing but compliments from people that come over, it's awesome!

So, Bart's K&N's and beefy CAI tubes came in. The car is smoother, and feels like the low end pull is improved. The old filters were extremely bad which is the only reason I think the change was noticeable.

I had a chance to run the car up to the governor and it hit an indicated 158 and just stopped moving, so it's definitely still in place. It got there pretty quick too.

Steve, I'm sorry I haven't been able to call. Between divorce papers, work and just finding a second to breathe it's been hard to do much of anything. I just need a little bit of time with the ECU so I'm hoping I can get it done tonight or tomorrow.

Last night I got a call from Ron at Phatbotti tuning. He specializes in STi's, Evo's and GTR's. He's tuned the fastest stock turbo STi and WRX in the world. He's also who I've been waiting on to get my rough whp and wtq figures. I asked how close the dyno was to being complete and he said he got a new phone so he called me to figure out who it was. Last time I saw him was when he went to a gas station by my parents house, which is a small town of like 100 people, but they sell 110 octane. I still had the V6 so focus was on his car. It's gnarly. At the time he was 600 something to the wheels. Now he takes a 500 gallon fuel tank to LA and runs E85. I want to say I've heard 800 ish to the wheels, but don't quote me on it. So when he called, we talked and he remembered the car and asked why I wanted to dyno the thing. I explained the experiment and he was excited to see it. Then we were talking about tuning and I said the software is hard to get ahold of, it's expensive and they only sell it to companies. So he made some calls and texted me that we need to talk about it. I guess he found the dimsport system and wants to get it. Honestly he has 0 experience in Mercedes but if he can come up with tunes half as good as he can for subbies, GTR's and evo's then Eurocharged will have some competition. More to come when I talk to him in person but I can't wait to get this thing ran on a dyno, let alone dyno tuned.
