Fire Shine
I was reading the latest Motor Trend and came across a new Liquid Wax called Fire Shine. Supposed to have been made originally for Fire Trucks to protect the trucks and keep them shining. Anyone heard of this wax or tried it? Suppose to be on sale in O'Reilly Auto Parts stores. Bob

wonder how well it works as well?
Another new one I saw yesterday by Turtle wax called Ice, its a clear liquid so it never turns white or leaves a dust. Lets get some reports from all you detail nuts.
Marc,
I have been using the Turtle Wax Ice products for about 3 weeks now, wax and detail spray.. The products seem to work very well, it as durable as the NXT wax IMHO. You will get a very brilliant deep wet look shine, it is great if you want to quickly detail your car on enhance what you have already done. The products are extremely easy to use, after washing the car it took me about an hour to wax and detail spray the entire car and it can be applied in direct sunlight. one word of caution, DO NOT GET IT ON YOUR WINDOWS, it will take a little work to get if off, and if you get it on any black trim and forget its there and dries you will get a slight build up of film...detail spray will remove it off. On a scale of 1 - 10, I would give the product a solid 8.

I'm glad you like this new TW Ice, but lets hope it last longer than NXT does.
With NXT it lasts a good 3 weeks before you need to apply another coat, although the shine is pretty impressive with NXT. I can't buy any Ice right now as I have alot of other products in my arsenal. BTW, your cars all look great, keep on doing whatever your doing!

I have great luck out of the Meguiar's Cleaner Wax product. It is very hard to remove, but the protection and the ease of washes afterwards really makes me smile. I don't have to go over the car as many times. It is dusty and it stain the rubber seals around the window. I wanna try that Fire Shine. Wimp.com has some cool footage about a guy using some high dollar carnauba wax "Expensive Car" April 30th.
Please don't flame here but cleaner wax, at least step to Mequiars NXT. That actually IS easy to apply and remove, way easier than that old stuff is. You can thank me later, trust me guys I've been detailing cars on the side as a little business since 01' and taking care of my cars since I was 17 years old (I'm 36 now) I can honestly say that the Mequiars 3 step burgundy bottle stuff is about as current as bias-ply tires.
