Oh yeah, I forgot about yours... You had it done on a 4wd dyno machine. So, I'll use your #'s as the baseline since Woody didn't get a full run.

Where did your max torque and max HP come in and what was your fuel air ratio ?

I was not on an all wheel drive dyno...here's the thread for all to see...I have not had the time to post the dyno sheet, but I will try to get to that asap. I don't have the dyno sheet in front of me either, so I wouldn't be able to check-out the air fuel ratios at the time of the run...sorry for this HDDP:

Hey, HDDP...
You've removed a lot of stuff from your car.
Have you calculated the new power to weight ratio verses the stock ratio?
That's the real issue.
We'd all like 300+ rear wheel HP, but 300 rwhp on a Bentley is not going to move you as fast as 300 rwhp on a Crossfire.

Well we can base the OEM power to weight on "golfdude's" stock dyno of 168 rwhp and the OEM curb weight of 3,056 lbs. That would put the stock Crossfire at 1:18.19 at the wheels.

And mine at 192 rwhp with a wet curb weight of 2,640 lbs at 1:13.75

Compare that to a stock Lotus elise that is putting 158 hp to the wheels and weighs 1,980 lbs is running a PW ratio of 1:12.53

I think my calcs. are correct... Someone can double check me...

I still have about 100 + lbs I can get out of the car, but it might bump me up a class with my sanctioning body, so I'm being very cautious about those changes for now, until I get my 2007 season annual tech inspection. We're thinking of replacing the rear hatch with fiberglass and lexan and still haven't removed the steel frames inside both door and replace the glass with Lexan. We can also cut out alot of the steel in the front wheel wells and install a Lexan windshield.

If you really want to get nuts, I would mold the floor pan out of carbon fibre and balsa laminate, then replace the steel structure. It's fairly easy to do but the material cost is not worth it. Unless chrysler is supporting your racing career.

How about getting a custom carbon driveshaft? It's been a while since I crawled under my car, I forget if we have an aluminum or steel drive shaft?

How about driving out to the track this weekend and hang with the big boys.

Hopefully sometime this winter I'll be free to drive up there. How many miles is it to the track from LA? I posted an add on the NASA forums the other day, I'm looking to buy an enclosed car hauler. Let me know if you know anyone up there who is looking to sell...
