Folks, I have been toying with the idea of cutting off the mufflers and just going with the cats. A colleague suggested that this may mess with the ECU and potentially cause damage. The car is only 1,000 kilometers old so I don't want to kill it yet.
Is he misinformed or will the resulting lack of backpressure confuse the electronics. Thanks for your help.

Beware, removing the muffler will cause global warming and could result in the death of kangaroos and dingos. On a lighter note, it could kill a few aborigines as well !!!
