It has been great to watch this build, now when are you on schedule to fire that thing up?

Dash lights and dials all went haywire and the heater came on full blast, it was July. I told my wife keep driving and take it to the dealership, it took four days for them to find the problem. I cut up a shop vac hose and the mechanic put the new wires in to it, taped it and arranged it so any water that got in it drained out, the original basically just sat there in fresh air.

this took all morning to make and 30 seconds to use

access hatch for the fuel tank

end of june was the fire-up schedule, but I may take longer. I would hate to miss this season--
luckily the radiator is 8 feet away-- it's interesting what causes failures and how we can record them for the future.

fuel tank is back in and all hooked up, except the wire plug. the fuel filler neck mystery was solved today- I didnt quite know how it would come together, but i do now. all in and double clamped. I pumped rtv around the edge of the access hatch as a seal and edge protector. itll be cured tomorrow- then vacuum hoses and the wiring. only 6 days late on the schedule. can i be near the end of the list? I won't know what to do..except drive it.

with over a week left in the arrival of the halfshafts [ custom made], I started the wiring-- labelling everything is the chore- both with labels and in books. then deciding what systems are compatible or blendable. the absence of sensors makes it simpler--like the use of the chrysler wiper stem switch and the vw motor. hazard lights, turn signals, high/low flashers and the horn all command from the new steering column to vw components. there is a key-in sensor on the ign sw. otherwise it will be an off brand of duck soup. it will take time

chrysler fuse panel and body cm required- so i am locating them in the same places they were in the sedan to avoid splicing 200+ wires.

Todd
I have the official 1993 Concorde/Intrepid/Vision Chrysler Service Manual and it has 200 pages of wiring diagrams, loom layouts, connector info etc.

I used it on my 1995 LHS to some advantage, not all there I guess, but the basics were the same. Would it be any help to you?
I downloaded a 300 shop manual from here; http://manuals.dodgeintrepidchat.net...ice%20Manuals/

that would work-- but I ordered another one today at a site I ordered the 2 originals from 2 years ago--
https://www.factoryautomanuals.com/p...ce-manual.aspx
Dan is in flint, michigan and worked in a spark plug plant back in the day- I'd rather give him 72.00 shipped, for this book.
michigan is really depressed these days- washington calls it the rust belt--how arrogant- thanks-- I'll probably find the first one now.

tagging wires and getting familiar with everything is progressing.
I just got a ticket for bending an amber left turn in a photo intersection- the photos support me actually...Guess how much the city of encinitas, ca, wants for it?
