Default Get a Grip, seriously...

Oh wow, here's the delusional poster who thinks his Mini Cooper is going to beat a Crossfire...

The Mini is a cool little FWD sporty economy car.

The Crossfire is a true RWD sports car.

Apples and Oranges.

Top speed - advantage Crossfire (can your Mini really go 155 mph) ?

Drag Race - advantage Crossfire (www.dragtimes.com)

Auto X -advantage Crossfire

(Minis are either g/stock or h/stock and they do very well in their class but the Crossfire is in d/stock, this is not my opinion, it's SCCA rules based on performance on-track) !

Hey HDDP, the Minis are coming to get you !

Slim

155...guess again!

Michigan State Trooper clocked me at 163 on M28 just east of Newberry in the U.P. fortunately he was a buddy of mine and was curious how fast it could go so it was all good!

Bummer part is it still had about 600 RPM to redline.

Hmmm...Mini =

Yeah... put your name calling back in your pockets guys.

If you really want to 'dust' someone... quietly arrange a track time and place and put your lead foot where your big mouths are at.

We return you to your regularly scheduled thread...

It's much like the 5,000 RPM cutoff I'm sure...it happens to some cars and not others.

The only way to have a definitive answer is to have the wiring schematics for the computers running the car, as well as when and how they were changed/upgraded.

Don't you guys have the diagram on the bottom of the lid?
Locate the ABS / Stability Management fuses using that.

And in my '07 they were the only 40 amp fuses in the box.

Also... I only had to pull #17 to disable it. #18 stopped my brake lights from working. Couldn't have that.

On the '04 cars there are no fuses set-up for Stab/Trac Control. Its not that we need to find them some other place, they are ust not there at all.

Here is where my fuses were, now they are in the bottom of the fuse box along with some relay's that are operated by the little key fob in the picture. In the second picture are the lights on the dash that come on when I turn the circuit off, and everything else works fine.

that is a pretty bad *** way of turning the TC on and off, but thats not where my fuses are, those two spots are called out as spares on the fuse diagram and there isnt anything in those slot

You better check your facts on the autox stuff. DS isn't really any faster than GS, where the Cooper S is classed (and has won multiple national championships).

In fact, according to the 2008 pax numbers, GS is actually faster:
http://www.scca-chicago.com/solo/indexes/rtp2008.html

I'd say xfire vs. mcs for autox is essentially a draw...a lot is going to depend on the course.

I autox a Crossfire and don't particularly like Mini's, but they're very capable autox cars. And they've got something that every true sports car should have that our cars don't...a limited-slip diff (at least in the S).
