Cold Air Intake... Finished
This is the intake I fabbed up. I dropped 3 tenths and gained .6 mph in the quarter mile.
It is constructed of 3" aluminum tubing, into 3" flex tube which is routed behind the grill, and then into an 8X5" K&N cone filter.
I have the mesh grilles on my car which allow more airflow to the filter.
Besides a noticeable HP gain, this mod provides much better throttle response. I also noticed a more consistent power delivery between shifts.
With the stock airbox I would get a slight hesitation between shifts, but now the 1-2 shift is extremely smooth.
For those that care, it does make a sucking sound, but its not too loud. I can't hear it over my exhaust unless the hood is open.
I have three kits available. They will be sold for $220 shipped anywhere in the 48 states.
Fire away with the questions!

$220 bucks!!??!! Wow...that's a $20 dollar civic intake from autozone with some flex tubing and a conical K&N, and a better silicone coupler, about $75 bucks worth of parts... maybe...

I have a documented change where there was a noticeable difference in the stock intake and my CAI.
I understand many people think they gained power, or feel they have gained power, but that's not gaining power. Two filters sucking air from the engine bay will not give you any performance gain, it makes it slower.
I had a dual filter set-up with a V8 air box on previously and lost a ton of noticeable power.
As far as the part cost, it was well over $75.
The filter and couplers alone cost more then that. If people all sold products for cost we'd be communists.

Freak accidents happen no matter what.
You do not need to remove the fog lights. It sucks a lot of air in from the lower grilles, the fog light area is just an added bonus.
This intake takes no modification to any stock parts if you do not want them.
