What do you guys think about this intake?
I have the chance to purchase this intake for $150 off a crossfire owner. What do you guys think? I love that it keeps the stock engine cover.

Well, it does look purty BUT it sucks in air from the hot engine compartment eliminating the existing but cramped CAI's that come with the car.
I would be curious to know what the temp is inside the compartment when the car is running in idle and on the move. It shouldnt be that hard to find out with a thermometer mounted inside. I know that my hood says quite warm for a while after driving, that leads me to believe that there isnt much venilation there. What troubles me about the CAI that are mounted in front of the radiators is that they could become fouled with debris and exposed to the elements. Using this set-up will perform better I believe, but will require closer attention to the filter being kept clean. I would like to know from users of this set-up if they clean the element on a regular basis.

If you are going for the look then by all means do it, but if you are after performance, this is not the way to go.

I think that the Intakes are good enough for that price. What brand are those? +1 to copycat, I also do like the grille on that Crossfire.

The intake is visually impressive. Some cars have low under hood temps. The xfire in an inferno under the hood and for that reason I won't buy any intake that doesn't ingest air from some place other than under the hood. Why change if not to improve on the stock system? Now where are those glue on Brembo calipers.

I think that air is plenty cool enough, not far from ambient. That air is racing along the inside of the pipes, not allowing much time to pick up heat by convection or conduction of the short runs of pipe only to be injested by the engine. The set-up I tried is the easy way out. Iam sucking nothing put hot air into that engine, a larger volume then stock, but not dense O2 that you get from cooler air.
