Thanks, better then your usual dig at someone else's product that is different then yours. I guess you're on the magnaflow band wagon now. What's the matter did you get tired of promoting the Code3 products???

Maybe I'm reading that the wrong way.....but it just struck me as strange.
No offense taken, but with an exhaust system that has less than 1,000 miles on it and never seen precipitaion, I am honestly not worried about it being beaten up. Also, just an inquiry, if I can save some money it will help my afford some giovanna's for my other car as well

And I think I would prefer catback to muffles replacement personally.

ROFL! HAR HAR! Man you should be a professional comedian!

I was simply pointing out that he went to a smaller pipe size and a 2" muffler. I am sure those interested in performance will be interested in that fact.

If you do not like it, I am sure there are plenty of counselors where you live that can help you deal with it.

I have been gone a while so sorry for the late response. I believe I was the first to use this muffler and love it. It is not real loud but I think I have the best sounding V6 I have ever heard. It has a deep euopean sound and coundn't be much easier to install. I can't wait to hear it my V8 conversion. You guys will love this muffler! the sound clip doesn't do it justice. Ansa has been making exhausts for Ferarri forever.

Crossfirefrank is getting his Ansa muffler installed today.
Replaced the Magnaflow with the Ansa.

As I recall, I think Crossfirefrank had a Magnaflow 14861 muffler, not the renowned Magnaflow 16633 Catback. I am still loving my 16633. And yes it does have a bit of drone under some conditions that I find acceptable. Lets me know that it's still there!

OK I'll give you my opinion on the ansa vs magaflow muffler. I did not have the cat-back just the muffler. As far as the drone issue, the ansa has zero drone and I would say the magnaflow has some at about 2,000 to 2,500 rpm. I believe the sound of the muffler is close to the same. The big difference is how loud they are. On a scale of 1 to 10 and 1 being OEM and 10 being magnaflow I would place the ansa at 3-4. i guess the best way to describe it is if your looking for something a little louder go with the ansa and if your looking for something louder go with the magnaflow. The shop which installed mine open the muffler inlet up from 2" to 2 1/4 so there was no reduction to 2".

that is really odd, i have the magnaflow 2.5" in and 2.5" out with zero drone and it is only about 10% louder than stock. Different muffler model number I guess.

As for using this ansa muffler on a srt6, that would result in a BIG restriction in the exhaust and it would defeat the purpose of the car which is performance.

FYI, The Ansa muffler has a stepped inlet to work with various size pipes. My shop cut it at the step that matched my pipe. I have had this muffler now for almost a year and half and love it. It still looks brand new. Great deep Ferrarish sound that is not real loud. About the same loudness as an OEM ferrari.

it does not appear to be stepped in the photo:

and on their website it says 2" inlet with no mention of it being a stepped pipe.

the muffler does sound good though but 2" is really small.

hope that info is useful to someone

It was stepped.
The inlet had a two size diameters
Mine had the smaller portion cut off and the photo shows the larger part with the pipe fitted over and welded.
It does have a two size stepped diameter inlet.
