The sound is just right for me on the ANSA. I don't have the drone at highway speeds and I have a lot more sound at the lower RPMs.

Not upset at all.........
I do agree with ya on this point and it bugs me a little to but for the sound I just can't let this bother me.
I wish I knew if changing to my stock tips would produce a different sound that I may not like.

The only one here that was not happy with the sound was the one who had their stock tips fitted to the Ansa

At the risk of upsetting the Ansa lovers, I think that the tips are kind of small and don't fill the space. In all fairness, some think that the Magnaflow tips are too large? If you don't want some noise, why bother changing? From what I've heard, the Borla is also pretty quiet? None of them will give you any real performance increase.
THE THING IS I WANT TO KEEP MY OEM EXHAUST TIPS.. SO I GUESS ANSA IS OUT OF THE QUESTION BUT THAT WAS THE SOUND I WAS GOING FOR.. MAYBE THE BORLA WILL BE THE CLOSEST TO IT SINCE ITS PRETTY SOFT SOUND TOO.. NOT OVERLY LOUD.

I haven't installed my Ansa yet for this reason. Although I love the sound I'm conflicted by the appearance, just a little. Actually when you see the tips in person, they are much bigger in diameter than they appear in the pic's that have been posted. Maybe a trim panel (CF?) would improve the appearance of the Ansa tips? Sorta give it a finished look.

The ANSA tips stick out a bit further, but IMHO it does not look bad. I don't regret the muffler change.

Corvettes have aftermarket exhaust filler panels similar to this. This would fill in the space nicely but it would take some custom work.

Yup, that's what I'd like. Wonder what it would take to make a panel like this? Where's our CF experts?

I got my Ansa this week. I wonder how many are left now. I thought about a trim panel for mine. I have some aluminum laying around. I might just make a drilled brushed and clear-coated panel. I might even tint the clear. We'll see. I like the look of that photoshopped panel. Wouldn't it be great if you could just do that to the real car. But I would photoshop my whole car into a 1971 Lamborghini muira.

I'll bet a panel like that could be sold to everyone who has purchased and will purchase the Ansa muffler. Sounds like an opportunity to me, any takers?

It might be hard to make one that will fit everyone's car since there is sure to be some differences in how the shops have mounted them. I would like to see a carbon fiber panel that we can open the holes on to fit our individual cars.

I did like the sound of the Ansa's at the dragon, but also the Borla. The thing about the Borla is that they do come with other tips according to this (link). I guess to get them you would need to call Borla as I can't find them listed like this on their site.

quick off subject question: I noticed in the picture above that the part of the lecense plate has had the numbers removed. Is there some kind of danger in showing your plate number? when I am driving anyone can see my plate...
