BEGi Turbo Kit information/discussion thread
Have to wonder if DJ didn't end up selling them the car and therefore no longer has a dog in this hunt to be posting over??
Mrmiatia, you get points for the laugh of the morning. Don't know where you post and spam went, but your comments were very funny.
Have no idea what DJ is up to, he has been a pretty valuable source of info for the forum. Glad he is leaving his car there and calling Corkys bluff on getting this done. I think Corkys plan was to send it home in the trunk and crying "we spent a fortune developing this and if he had only left it "two more weeks" I planned to have this thing 2 birthdays ago. Now I'm just hoping I get a deposit back before I'm too old to enjoy it.

Edit: Guess at this point I should thank the mods for taking out my funny? Couldn't we have left just one spam post?

[QUOBump Bump bumpTE=bjames;748621]Well another week has come and gone with no pictures or updates. I see John's request for information on Facebook has gone ignored.
Hard to believe a company like this is still in business. How they got a book written on Turboing it's beyond me.[/QUOTE]

I have patiently posted about once a week on their FB page and that is the only way to get results, in public. If you have time, stop by on occasion and just ask where they are so they can see, because I guarantee they are not checking here.
Or just keep bitching, whichever you prefer

Now the Bitchin' There are also photos up on the Begi Website, nothing to get excited about. Production is pathetic, no powder coating, no update, just a couple of photos of "not much" no startup date, So, so sad. They have to be embarrassed to put up those photos...who are these guys??
Keep the good work up on FB that is why we have gotten any results I think.

By the time they get this finished (assuming they ever do) their market is going to be severely limited....antique vehicles have much more value 100% stock, not modded...
Well here we are, the close of another business week. No start up date, the powder coating is taking a bit longer than the 8 to 10 weeks of the total built we quoted over a year and a half ago. I know at the beginning some said it takes time to do quality work, they sure have had that time. No telling how long this would have taken had they not had so many parts sitting on the shelf. Glad they said they would be dedicating someone to get this job done, done being the key word here.
Wonder where the build will be next year at this time.
I'll still be here updating the progress or lack of. Good thing these guys are the pros on Turbo charging or who knows how long it could take.

On the Crossfire project.. Will 2 years waiting be a customer record?

Well still here.....another week come and gone..
Here is a cut and paste from a couple months ago, good for a chuckle and confirms the bullshit.
Per their Facebook Page
"Sorry guys, the phone has been very busy this week. Even working until 11 pm most night I am still not caught up. We have been fitting parts up on the car as promised. Some parts have needed tweaking a bit, or a bung added somewhere. As fit has been confirmed we have made parts drawings and updated the fixtures. It is not running yet, as parts needed some adjustment. We will get it running as soon as possible though. We have also hired a part time guy to come in and assist Corky in getting this done ASAP. We have three major priorities at the moment and this is one of them, I promise. Each project has its own guy so no ones time is split on priority. I should have some more photos after the holiday."
Priority..interesting word, but do they know what it means, and what does the "ASAP" suggest ? Maybe 2 more weeks. So Sad.

I posted the following yesterday, but without a few others to ask or chime in it seems like there is only one person interested in a kit. I realize this is probably not going to go anywhere, but I figure typing to them in an open forum where their customers can see is going to get a lot more traction than bitching in this thread.
"Anything new on the Crossfire components, obviously at this point I am not holding my breath, but after nearly 2 years I had hoped you would at least have the car running?"

An email to steph. yesterday.. naturally no response yet..
Are we still on a "not much longer" agenda? I understand why credit cards are avoided now.
Is it going to take a law suite to move past waiting for a deposit return? This really has gone beyond ridiculous don't you think.
Edit.. my prior contact with her here...

We do not receive any proceeds from dyno day. We do it to support a former employee of ours who opened the dyno shop. We collect any money. Sorry…. We will refund deposits when the kit is done. Should not be much longer now.

Fair enough, and I applaud the effort, but obviously unless we add the PUBLIC part, they don't have much incentive to respond. Start threatening a suit on the FB page in front of other customers and I guarantee you will get a response
LOL
I don't have skin in the game, so I am not trying to run the show, but I would like the kit to become a possible solution for me and am willing to stay on them till they deliver or refund everyone's cash.

Actually I asked (on FB) if 2 years waiting was going to be a customer record..
And had tossed in another comment recently...
"Almost" seems they are giving face book the same attention CF1 is getting..
