New dyno on tuesday
We need some suspense on the forum. Therefore this thread instead of waiting until after the fact. I made an appointment on the dyno that I patronize for tomorrow afternoon. Why for? It's been a while, I have a new Eurocharged tune with raised rev limiter to go along with my new Evotech TCU and I want to verify any unknown's before this weekends race. I'm looking to learn a few things. First, how much the horsepower keeps climbing over 6000 rpm if at all. Naturally, to see if the new tune found new power. The TCU is full manual in W meaning I should be able to floor it from lower rpms and not down shift. It should be interesting to say the least. What are the AFR's going to do over 6000 rpm? Stay tuned to find out how it all shakes out.

Very interested.........................
Good luck. I have a tuned TCU in the garage, so I look forward to your results.
Oh yea, the BK guy and I are watching you.

I'll do a write up on the TCU after the race this weekend. I can see it being a great help on certain tracks. (Or the dragon) The derrière dyno is meh but prior experience indicates it always reads low. Perhaps it's my spine resistors that prevent a clear signal reaching the data logger. I'm unsure what to expect. My last dyno's were with problems. Perhaps you remember the header dyno fiasco. Manifold leak fiasco, meth fiasco, etc.
Forgetting all that, TODAY IS THE DAY!

hmm, the forum wouldn't let me post that in all caps. loses its effect
Here's the graph. A few notes. No correction factor, no AFR's, hot off the street and other disclaimers when I need them. They tried 2 sniffers and neither read less than 15 AFR. My wide band is giving me good AFR's so onward we went. My last dyno was 339 hp. It wasn't my highest dyno of all time but the most recent. The attached graph is the second pull. Both made the same power. The torque was lower on the pull on the graph. Heat perhaps? Both pulls hit the rev limiter. I took a video and hope to see the precise rpm it engages. 6345 rpm is for sure though. Temperature was 92º at the time of the dyno. My first ever dyno at Predator Performance was around 260 to 270 hp. 370 hp, for me, celebration time!
I'm open to critique, observations, haters, what ever you feel. Naturally easy down the road is the plan until I get some good data logs, because you can never be too careful. Oh, the gas was a 50/50 mix of 93 with 100 Sunoco.

I'm looking at the graph now, WC is with correction?

Very nice! So power keeps climbing after stock fuel cut-off, I wonder if this will be a new popular option then on tune's.
Not that it matters, but what do you think that is at the crank Les? 450 ish?

BigKid, the cutouts are a thing of the past. Long tube headers now.
Thanks Grip, I'll know soon enough how the numbers translate on the track.
Tonight an old problem with new tunes was revisited. I did a 2nd gear pull and I'm lean again. Every time I get a new tune I run leaner and I don't know why. Perhaps the ECU has to learn and adjust. I'll find some empty safe road to risk a few more pulls to confirm today.
I'd love to do some head work/better valve springs and rev this engine higher, it keeps pulling and pulling, not to mention the sound. I'll try and post up a dyno video later.
