Default Okay Now in Limp Mode Need Guidance

First I have a 2007 coupe with an automatic transmission
.
Alright I have read all of the post here and now know I am in limp mode with my car stuck in first gear and the engine light on. From all of the posts I read I also now know to first address this I should start with getting a conductor plate. It appears that many members have purchased their plates off of ebay. When I went on ebay I was overwhelmed. So, simply, can someone help me a good one to purchase on ebay, as I do not know what I am looking at.

Also, do the speed sensors come connected to the conductor plate or do I have to purchase those separately

Any help would be greatly appreciated

Thanks

The speed sensor is part of the conductor plate.
You can get one from FCPEuro ( 2003 MB SLK320 ), free shipping and lifetime warranty.
Since you are opening the tranny, you will also need a filter and approved fluid, I used Pentosin ATF 134.
There are numerous videos on YouTube on replacing the conductor plate.

first ,,,did ir reset when you turn off your motor? if no then disconnect the pos term on the batt (for about 3 min)
limp mode is the car saving it's self so reset it it happens more than 3 times in a day then you can look into fixing it. jim

Thanks so much Jim for the instruction and I m going to go and try the disconnect first.

There are conductor plates on ebay for the $60 to $70 range. How do those conductors differ from the more expensive pates cited in this thread by Needswing and FCP. I know the latter two RE KITS. BUT THE plates in those kits are $155 price range outside of the other pieces. My question are the ebay plates the same as the plates cited in this thread

Your issue could be one or more of several things, I have seen issues with throttle bodies, fluid, gas pedals and conductor plates with your symptoms. If you have the car scanned by a Mercedes laptop they can prevent you from replacing parts unnecessarily. Are you confident in your fluid type and level?

As for the conductor plates, I will only sell the oem latest revisions. There are many old or aftermarket ones on ebay for much less but there is no way I want to do the job twice in place of using the right part the first time. I've seen the sting happen too many times. As for the other link above, that is below our cost and we get good discounts as I have been dealing with these cars for 20 years now. I can't touch that price for the latest revision, and i'm not interested in selling the old ones from an OE supplier that has old stock they are trying to flush. Sorry i'm not the cheapest, I try to be so when I can and am happy to revisit pricing on anything that doesn't seem right. If it helps I can discount the conductor plate for you by 10%, i will change it now and keep that active for a week for you if you determine that is what you need.
