Default adjusting clutch pedal free play

recently noticed some drag on the selector lever when changing gear, on every gear. the clutch pedal has been always going to the floor when change gears.
otherwise it shifts fine.
so i wonder if what happens is that it just needs adjustment.
if so, how is it done?
is there a link?
brakes and clutch fluid has been changed and purged and was doing fine. no leaks shown anywhere.
the car has some 65,000 miles and never showed any signs before.

thanks

There is no adjustment, other than bleeding the fluid - it's all in the service manual, chapter 6.

Now, as to your complaint...
My Graphite was kinda sluggish or 'catchy' like that. Based on advice from others here, I changed the transmission fluid at around 55,000 miles - took a bit less than two quarts of Mobile 1 5W20.
It was better, but still a bit 'catchy', until I got close to 100,000 miles - honestly, it shifted smooth then. What our transmissions really need - is about 90,000 miles on them! (My current SE has new oil and 57,000 miles on it - not bad but not as nice as the Graphite at 90,000.)

With those miles (and YEARS) yours is way overdue.

(Yes, I know there is a specific Mercedes-approved manual transmission oil, but if some can run regular gas, I can run Mobile 1. Besides, boiilerupXfire and JohnMoorhead both used Mobile 1, and they are more 'gearhead' than I will ever be.)

Like Mark, I changed my tranny fluid at 60K. I used 5W/20 Royal Purple. Haven't driven it enough to notice a difference; but I'm here in the north and she's hibernating.

Here's a Chrysler service pdf on this clutch system and nowhere does it say adjust the pedal. Most everything says replace. Read the section on Clutch will not engage properly

thank you guys. i changed tx (and clutch) oil about 6 months ago but it was running fine before and after. used what is advised in the manual. as i said, it was doing fine so i dont think is the oil.
it just happened now that is cold but i drove it last winter with the old oil and this spring with the new and no problem. still, cold it is the only thing that i could suspect.
also last winter with cold the stabilizer bar made a crack noise when turning when began driving. replaced it and now with cold no noise.
still, if it does not get worse will wait until spring and see what else comes to mind. from the beginning, pedal went to the floor but no noise and changing gears was smooth so i didnt think about it.
what started this all was the sudden rough feeling of the lever. i was hopping it had some sort of mechanical adjustment, like the parking brake. and i drive it year round.
thanks again.

You are driving the car NOW? In CANADA? No wonder you are not happy.
Back when I drove the graphite all year, it was OBVIOUS that even 5W20 was a bit thick when it got cold out.
It'll be fine in warm weather.

It's right at 32F here (Freezing).
Our roads are 100% salt now, mine won't move out of the garage till we'v had TONS of rain....

thank you for telling. seems that it is the cold that is creating this situation. i will sleep better with your comment.
i drive 1 or 2 times a week, and if wet i dont, to avoid salt/sand spread under. that was what killed my firebird so no. even rustproofing does not help.
