Absolutely it is a sticky Does not do any good, most will not search for it or even LOOK at the tech forums, they simply ask the same questions over and over again like helpless children.

It looks like there was some on there previously.
To be honest, I don't remember having to take a fuel line apart when I did my repair of the crankcase breather covers.

There was no way the drivers side valve cover was coming off without disconnecting the fuel line at the back.

Just to be clear, if you are referencing the "valve cover", I've never pulled these to replace the gaskets. I was referencing only the "crankcase breather covers", which is where my car was leaking oil, and are what I re-sealed years back. When I have to replace the valve cover gaskets, I will probably need to follow your lead on that fuel line.

Congrats on your DIY repair.

Thank you! I followed advice from the forum and removed the valve covers in order to reseal the breather covers. If you were doing just the breather covers then you are correct. The fuel line would not need to be disconnected.

Could someone do me big favor? I'm trying to write up instructions for someone to do what I just did. I need to find the names of the parts that I marked with a red circle. And yes, three of them are on rubber hoses, one on the passenger side and two on the drivers side plus that one little connector. Thanks!
