Thanks for the report, Ron, but his post speaks for itself, I think it should stay. He makes a lot of my points for me. Besides, I don't remove MY rude posts (if I say it, I should not be able to "take it back" just cause Im a moderator), it's only fair to leave other's up too.

Hi all, think I understand what the op was talking about , our crossfire stopped starting last night, so today I fully charged the battery, checked the rcu relays and resoldered the 3 terminals and had no luck.
I Had the rcu open and watched the relays moving while my wife tried the key, at this point she noticed that on the dash the indicator said reverse while in park, put it in neutral and it started first time, I believe the op has a similar issue where the car won't start because it's showing in a gear when in park Hence is there a connection/module etc that indicates what gear is selected that can be replaced?

Our "getting older" Crossfires, when difficulties arise, may have one or more causes for a particular problem. The electro mechanical devices on these sophisticated systems may work one time and not the next. Case in point "might" be an RCM relay closes but "maybe" the contacts are just starting to pit. Some members interpretation of what "they" perceive as a case hard symptom may not be one at all. This forum is a great place to get suggestions of repair actions and is up to the "novice" home mechanic to decide what is required. Thanks Pizzaguy for all your time and effort in helping us keep our cars on the road!
