Throttle Response Is Slow!!

Since that time there have been one or two group buys on the Sprint Booster. Most have claimed it made a huge difference. Read the more recent posts about the Sprint Booster.
Is there a way to 'teach' the car to think your a Mad Max driver all the time and be able to drive like an old lady most of the time?
Basically I want to remove that lag as much as possible without dropping $1.5k.
I've done the history clearing and am driving aggressively for now. I'm wondering how long I need to do this before my car thinks I'm 17 instead of 70.

I can't speak for anyone else but I am very happy with this mod. I wish it would have been available before I had the car chipped because this simple device makes the throttle respond and therefore you get a better driving experience. It doesn't give you more horsepower but it feels like it. Removes the "old lady" effect.

Thanks to all for the advice. I have to admit, I'm a bit skeptical that this "Greek connector" is the way to get rid of the throttle lag - and it's a bit expensive.
I assume that this has to somehow "goose" the throttle on a pedal-down change event, causing the fuel-injection-equivalent of an accelerator pump to kick in, in order to get the thing moving. Currently, the throttle response reminds me of the laggy early turbos of the 80s - except there is no boost!!
But if you all have had good luck with this sprint booster, I'll be inclined to try it. I found it for $280 on ebay (some reseller in Hong Kong). Am I nuts to go this way?

I organized one of the Sprint Booster group purchases and can tell you that at least 80% of the people the participated love the device. To me, this is the best mod outside of the race level brake upgrade on my SRT6.
It basically fools the computer into using a different curve for the accelerator position. To me it gives a feel much like a cable setup.
If you have a manual, you can get one of two versions. The Sprint Booster for the manual gearbox is quite aggressive. The Sprint Booster for the automatic is still aggressive, but not excessively so. I've found it to be quite easy to relearn the throttle after installing it.
The engine is much more responsive. If I want to drive extra conservative, I just leave the Auto-Stick in 'W' or Winter mode.
Hope that helps.

Anybody do business with or know about this source for the Sprint Booster ?
www.shop4sprint.com
They sell 'em for $220 plus $25 shipping to the USA.
Any input here ? I sure wish a domestic distributor would carry these things.
Seems like with all the new drive-by-wire sports cars now sold there should be a pretty solid and growing market for these items. Price still seems about double what it should be for this device. Once Ford starts putting drive-by-wire in Mustangs devices like this will be about fifty bucks with four different brands to choose from...

I have a manual transmission. Is there a group buy going on now? If not, where is a trusted source to get one? It sure sounds like it's worth trying. Is the ebay source a good/bad idea? Thanks.

Get the 3" dual intakes, I spoke about from forum member SASKINS. Find a good performance muffler shop and have them cut the resonator out and give you a dual straight thru Magnaflow exhaust. Then have a custom chip tuning done for your ECU (Upsolute or PowerChip). Fill the tank with 4 gallons of 100 octane fuel, 1 gallon of Klotz COXOC, then go find an S2000 to race... You'll blow his doors off... This is the best way (cheapest) to get the ponies you're looking for... Good luck on your mods... And take it to the track when you race!!!

HDDP You should have been keeping a closer look at the SI California group!
Just kidding HDDP... Did not notice this was a 2005 post! Apologies are all mine! But do you concur?
