Default Roadster Locking Handle...

Having a noisy battle in fasting down the locking bar. Are all the roadster the same?...I doubt than a wee lass would manage it.

It has to be has to pulled extremly hard to bring the hood bar down, and then with a loud bang as it hits the top of the screen frame, before locking with the handle.

Any way to improve this action ?

UKKen.

Must be a language thing, Ken. I don't know what you are referring to.

Did not the locking bar and windscreen frame give you some idea of what I was trying to explan?

Convertable(hood) English for roof/soft top is hard to close..is this better.

Regards

Ken..

Ok, I understand now.

Mine is a two-handed operatoin, but not because there is anything hard about it, I just don't want the sensor in the frame to be "shocked" by slamming the top down on it.

Is there somethign unlubricated in the top on your car? Maybe those hinges in the top the move and flex as you attach or UN-attach the top from the frame??

After mine has been stored in the boot for a while, it seems to "shrink" a little bit. That makes it harder to pull down and will result in an inadvertent "slam" if I don't support it with my free hand.

I think everyone has the same issue-if you do not ease it down using both hands-you can damage bits in the assembly.

Thanks
