Ask them, I am sure they will be only too willing to answer.

Mercedes ones are Bi-Xenon, which means that they are using one bulb to produce two lights, low beam and high beam. So by the time you use high beam, bulb is already wormed up. I had those on my Infiniti FX45

Any pics of your install? Some plug in leds look cheap and tacky. I'd love to see lit pics of each configuration.

Max...Happy Wife....Happy life.

Here is a picture of my 2005 Roadster Limited, a little grainy but should give you an idea. AutoIllumination Super Brite LED's in marker lights and corner lights in headlamps, headlamps are the 6000K McCulloch HID 's.

I took some closeup photos of my lights-not for showing off-more to show others the difference in color between 5000K HID's, SilverStar Ultras and "White" SMD LED's.

And one showing a Stealth bulb in my rear turn signal.

Hope these help someone!

See my gallery. Album: Lights

It is a PITA. I gave a short course on this little operation at the Spring Dragon. You should have been there!

You need a pair of large hemostats or 90 degree needle nose pliers. They must turn counter-clockwise 90 degrees to remove. Swap the bulbs and GREASE THE ORING before re-assembly.

Remember that you will also need load resistors on each of them. Both places in my PM to you sell them for a very good price ($6).

During this course, some as$hole bent Max's extra long hemostats...

Sorry about that Max, but the look of the LEDs was well worth it LOL

Good luck FP

Ok, so i ordered a led replacement for the trunk festoon light by the numbers given, and it was without a doubt the wrong numbers, i believe it should be a 39mm and NOT a 36... just so ya'll know. lol not sure what to do with this 36 now haha

Talking Re: Standard, LED, and HID Lamp Solutions and Numbers

For what it is worth I have HID on both hi and low beams without issue. Flashing the hi beam is effective and the heating and cooling 5 minute issue is incorrect in my estimation. I flash them and kick them up and down without any problem for the last 10 months or so.

Further the gain in light is worth the installation in the hi locations. Other cars have HID and operate fine.

Enjoy the 1st, Woody Weeee 3 days off........

There are a few DIFFERENT bulb lengths for the festoons in the license plate bulbs and the rear hatch bulbs, usually you can get the smaller/larger size to work simply by rebending the mounting bracket, this is what I did when it was a few mm off, works like a champ.....

You can use the 36mm in the glove box...same for the license plate.

Went with this idea haha, I was an idiot and didnt realize the extra length of metal in the trunk light....

This thread has been tremendous help though!, and thanks for the heads up gangmember, the next step is to get some lights for the liscense plate...

Also! does anyone have a link to some lights that they used and like for their small corner lights in their headlight assemblys? I bought some, but alas, they were too big to fit into the opening.... Also my car is harder to match for those lights since my HIDs are 8000k, so im afraid that superbright white wont be blue enough, and blue would not match, what do yall think?

You can use any of the 5 or 6 LED bulbs and they will work fine, both for the corner lights and the upper corners in the headlights. The cool blue will match the best, trust me, I have 10K bulbs and they looks good, so will work with 8K for sure, DO NOT get blue, they are very blue and will more than likely cause you to get pulled over if you are in the states.

Go to this site:
Super Bright LEDs - Miniature Wedge Base Bulbs
Then click buy it now under the first set of bulbs: WLED Miniature Wedge Base bulbs
There is a single LED, a 4x, a 5x, and a 6x. I have 5x in my corners because they not only emit light outwards, but also to the right and left. And I am running the 6x bulb in my upper headlight position, both look and fit great. Hope this helps....

Has anyone attempted to remove the "light out" bulb from the guage cluster?

These cars have back up systems for everything so you are liable to see the "light out" "light out" bulb come on.
Black tape works.
