Speaking of Dave.. and his handy dandy resource knowledge..

On the intake manifold just above and drivers side of the throttle body.. there is a vacuum hose that runs down to a plastic line on top the transmission (automatics).. where the hell does that run to and what to? Rodents hanging out in the pole barn seem to love this line.. I've got replacement with stainless steel braiding but was just wondering. I've spent about 30 minutes researching and turn up a blank..

I was a member over at e90post.com for a while and n54tech.com. I learned there that forums aren't for making friends, per say, but do offer a wealth of knowledge. Dave has helped me a few times here and there and may have cracked a joke or two at my expense, however, the info was always spot on. I learn too much here to get discouraged and stop visiting.

Any that take 180's comments as insulting are too sensitive to stay here anyway.
He has "corrected" me on many occasions, I never felt insulted, merely chastised for not being quite as perfect as I should aspire to be.
I hope when I grow up I can be like him.

I've not been an xf owner or member here for very long but I will say when I am searching for info I always seek out 180's comments. He gives detailed easy to follow advice and I find his presence here to be a real asset. So I thank him and wonder why some have such a hard on for him.

Thanks 180,
Jeff K

When he gives you an answer.. link.. or a valid suggestion.. and you "think" you know better.. or decide you want another answer.. that's when the Canadian comes out in him.. LOL.. The "social" side here is more of a ribbing .. if you want to know what cookies are being fixed for Christmas.. Facebook has got you covered..
