The spring clip, so long as you didn't lose it (God forbid), just slips 2 prongs into little raised slots in the metal face of the H7 bulb mounting surface.
use a pair of locking pliers (hemostats or surgical clamps) and just do 1 prong at a time.
And tie a thread to the clip before you staryou REALLY don't want to lose a clip.

Sorry to intrude on this topic, but could either of you point me in the direction of aftermarket parts for the Crossfire (for the headlamp)? Mine need to be replaced and the dealership is asking quite a bit for the parts, I think they are overcharging to be honest.

The spring ends goe into those hinge points, I have found that if you put your finger over the hinge points and you feed the spring end under your finger you can feel it go into the hole. I found that worked better than stabbing around blindly .
