Default Painting wheels with a TPMS

Do I have to do anything special to protect my TPMS while painting my wheels? I'm going to use a dupli color custom wrap which is paint that can be removed.

Also, if you have any opinion on that removable paint, I would love to hear it!

No, they are inside the wheel so you can't damage them. Just keep the valve caps on so you don't get paint in the valve stems.

BUT! Isn't the 'stem' the antenna? I thought they were insulated from the rim by the mounting hardware. If you paint over the base, will you be somehow 'connecting' the antenna electronically to the rim (don't know if the 'paint' has conductive properties). Also, if you 'paint' the stem you'll change the radiation properties of the output signal. Just a thought, anyone else have an opinion?

.

I think I'd just mask off the valve stems.
