Default Electrical nightmare begins...HELP!

Did I not get the memo that these beautiful cars are electrical nightmares? Vacuum door locks? Funky safety switches everywhere? Mousetrap ash tray? Gotta start somewhere, so where is the BCM module located on the convertible?

What do you want to do with the BCM?

Right marker lights suddenly are ON all the time now. (Key off, lights off....?) Last week the door locks became inop. (Vacuum pump relay?) Convertible top works occasionally. (Trunk latch switch?) (Red light is on dash switch...) BCM control all these?

Are all fuses good?

Is the top hydraulic fluid full?

Weird symptoms can indicate water somewhere and the most common is the locking module in the trunk. Have you been there to inspect it?

Right marker? Not just the switch on? Gotta ask because some people don't know it's there. The left two arrows in this picture.

Is it a coupe or a roadster? If it's a coupe symptoms may suggest that Central locking pump is submerged in water. Worth taking a look to see.

Both roadster and coupe have the locking pump in the same location.

yes and statistically the coupe has shown that it is more prone to leaking than the Roadster.😉

No ..............................
Look in the trunk under the mats and beside the foam block for water. That could affect the roof and door locking problems.

You did not read his first post, he says it's a roadster. LOL

😏 Funny how you can overlook things, he used the term convertible instead of Roadster and I went right past it.

Agreed, however I didn't want a newbie with only 3 posts to think since he has a roadster he does not even have to look for water.

Drivers side rear fender well about as far back as you can go.
You can see it with the tonneau raised.
