Default Cleaning inside of the headlight?

Hi all,

We collected our first Crossfire today, just going though servicing and tidying of parts on the car, noticed that the headlights were looking a bit cloudy - kinda the bottom 1/3 - thought it was simply in need of a headlight polish. Seems that its actually condensation inside the headlight that has left residue etc behind and has settled on the inside of the lens and dried.

How easy is it to split the headlights to be able to clean and polish the insides? How much would it cost to get a good used replacement set - do any other models like the 300C share any headlight parts at all?

Thanks in advance!

Thank you so much - sorry for not using the search, seems like a good way of being able to clean them out without taking the whole thing apart.

Does anyone know if other Chrysler models have the same headlights like the Sebring or 300C? I only ask as it seems impossible to get a used set anywhere (looking on ebay in the UK) as its quite a rare car.

No, the headlight units are exclusive to the Crossfire.

Thanks for the info, I guess I will just need to be careful with the headlights - looks like a replacement pair of headlights cost as much as half the car! Will look to get the upgraded plug kit and some methanol - hopefully its a simple fix to sort them out, think the hardest part will probably be getting them off the car.

Hmm doesn't look like the upgraded plug kit is available anymore - hopefully will be able to find an alternative!

Hi Mitch, you say the bottom 1/3 of the lights are dirty, could it be the car was submerged to that level? There are a lot of flooded cars out there (all models), you should inspect for flood damage now before it gets way too expensive. Good luck on cleaning them!
