Many thanks to those who have already pitched in with offers of donations and feedback. AimeeJ is working two jobs and not logging in as often as she used to. Please be patient waiting for her to PM you as it might not be right away. I am also waiting to be contacted by her with an address. My checkbook is out and waiting. As far as setting up other methods of receiving payment I will leave that up to her to decide.
Without a bank account I don't know what options she has.

Postal money orders will be the best bet, she can cash them at any post office....many banks are not in all states...and with no account, might be hard for her...

Sorry JM, I don't know if it was a case of mistaken identity, or "terminal senility".
Have a Merry Christmas just the same!

CoupeGirl also made a good suggestion. Since AimeeJ doesn't have a bank account, a postal money order might be just the "ticket" for her.

AimeeJ,
VALKRYDERGUY may just have hit on something to help you out to help you keep the crossfire you love. You never know there might just be some members who will contribute and even if its only enough to help make a couple of payments its better than nothing. This forum has quite a few members and if some sent you $5 here and $20 there it would add up quick .

Merry Christmas, and may God bless you.
I feel the same way. Please pm me your address as well.

This feels like Christmas, Thanks for letting me be a part of this great "forum family".

Sometimes I think it unfair when a 'finacial institutions' will let you borrow beyond comfortable means.

Aimee, I hope things turn around for you and your husband for 2008.
Is it too late for you to save your car by making the December payment?
If it is still in time I would like to help out some, PM me your address.

Happy Holidays to every one
This IS a great group of people.

It concerns me as well. But to everyone contributing, it's your money. There are thousands of people who will have no Christmas this year who can be found via United Christmas Service. If you're looking to help, I recommend that. Happy holidays to all.

Although this is an open forum to everyone who wants to respond as I requested in the first thread on this post...
if you are here to be critical please hold back your negative comments.
Up til now this has been a post with people who care. With that being said...
Your statement here is not true.
THIS IS NOT A SCAM AND AIMEEJ DID NOT ASK FOR MONEY.
Although we all know AimeeJ as only a member here her story began about 3 weeks ago when she found her finances to be stretched thin.
I personally do not know AimeeJ but I started this post to help her out and ask others to pitch in voluntarily. I don't believe I am gullible nor are the 15 others here that have offered to help out.
It is certainly your choice to opt not to offer anything of money here but I find it sad that you come onto this post and label this as a scam.
If this was a scam then "me" being the one who started the idea would need to benefit from this in some way and that is not the case here.
I just felt like giving to AimeeJ and didn't make judgement on her decisions to buy her car.

My wife and I donate nearly $1000 a year to reputable charities. My wife also participates each year in the
"Avon Walk for Breast Cancer" and walks 39 miles in 2 days and raises an additional $2000 for breast cancer research. So my choice to help out AimeeJ here is just one more choice I have made to help out a stranger.
Is it wrong to have a heart ??

Obviously you are a new member here (DEC.22, 07) and don't know what a family this forum really is. It would be wise if you sit back and become familiar here before you chime in with your negative comments.

Thank you to the people here that have offered help.
A few of you met me at the Woodward Dream Cruise meet near Detroit this past summer and the others here I would love to meet some day. I will not make any more comments here regarding the criticism from a newbie who obviously has jumped in here and attempted to derail this post for the good intentions it was started with. I take it personally because I had good honest intentions to simply help a stranger out and feel good doing so.

This isnt a scam. but i do have a problem with someone getting a new car only 3 months ago making only 2 payments and now cant afford it. It seems like she couldn't afford it when she bought it, and she also stated that she has a second car a Taurus so it wasn't like she needed to get a car.

It just sounds like she over extended here credit, sorry but i cant see helping someone for that reason, if it was for other reasons like health or lossing a job or other good reasons i would help.
