Default Dealer Pricing...let's help

I was talking to my local dealer about a graphite gray SRT6 coupe he has on his lot. He stated the "SRT" market is "hot" right now and he will get low 20's out of this little car. I told him "good luck", I hoped he did, but not likely. It has 17k on the odometer, an after market radio, that really doesn't look that good in there, tinted windows, and other than that stock as can be, with average rubber. Let's all chime in and let our dealers know what they are really selling for. In fact, this will help while others are looking as well. I paid $15.5 for the coupe a few months back... a few yrs back, I paid $24 for the roadster. They are both modded now, and they aren't for sale....

Hey Doc .... I'm a new SRT roadster owner (Jan 2010) and have followed prices for our xFires for a while (before I bought and after), and I highly respect your view points about your comments and posts! Your expertise and common sense about things is great! I'd just like to play a devil's advocate at this point, and state that maybe, just maybe, we have been touting about the decreased value of the Crossfires for too long now. Dealers may see market stats saying that, the SRTs are active now, and may want to try to get more $$ for them! OK ... I say let them try to set some new price levels.... if they sell, I think that would indeed start some potential owners into making their move into the market, at increased prices!
This may start an upward (if even slight) movement! We all know that Crossfires are highly desirable, and will sell! The market determines price, and I think that maybe, if we keep talking about the depressed prices of our cars, we may be holding back the market a little ....... Just my $.02
