Re: AllX'dUp (Terry and Barbara) in our thoughts
A Special Thank You to our Crossfire Family, Barb was definitely a strong and unique individual and she will be missed. In fact I was learning to love her in new ways since her diagnosis and treatments.
My last words to her this morning were, no sorrows, no regrets, no expectations...when it is time it is OK to go play dominoes with daddy (check with me if you want the explanation of that statement)
At that point I kissed her forehead, rubbed her hand and went to open the door to let the hospice nurse in and when we got back to her room she had passed.
It is an emotional time, and her family that is present feels it strange that I have not cried yet...I don't know that I will, for me it is more of a relief that she is no longer in pain, I don't have to worry that she will fall and I won't be there to catch her etc...It truly has been a long strange journey but I am happy knowing she passed quietly amongst freinds & family and not in a dingy hospital with strangers. The only thing now is to celebrate her life, planning a wake here at our apartment for local freinds and co-workers. A memorial for family in freinds in Houston TX is being discussed (TBA) and then finally a memorial and her final wish at the Spring Dragon GTG
So thanks again to all our freinds, we take comfort in your condolensces and well wishes (sharing your posts with them until they go home Tues) TERRY

Terry:
Roberta & I wish to express our sorrow for your loss of Barbara. The loss of a loved one, especially one so close to you as Barbara, is always a difficult thing to understand. We can all take solice in the fact that her physical suffering is finally over, your emotional suffering now will begin to diminish and the loving memories you have of your time together on this earth will be forever a lasting testimonial to your bond & love for each other.
God Bless,

Terry, Though I didn't know you or your wife Barb, I'm sorry to hear about your loss. May you take comfort in the happy times you shared together and in the fact that her suffering is over. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family during this difficult time.

Terri- it's been a long while since we met, I remember Barb as warm and friendly, someone who was easy to talk too having just met her. I'm glad your attending this TOD, it will help you start to find old pleasures and surely will put a huge smile on Barb's face seeing you returning to friends and fun. Drive safely and blast the music loud it can sooth the soul.
