I remember a day at the range where a nubie was handling her first semi- automatic pistol. The seven shot mag was emptied in about 3 seconds. Most of the lead did not make it down range. A crude version of the bump fire principle but lesson learned.

Not everyone would be able to handle one.

I do not as yet own a rifle on the AR-15 platform but, I doubt I would be interested in one of these.
I'm an avid shooter, and I'm with you -- full auto is simply not an effective means of accuracy OR precision. It's fun as hell, no doubt about it. But the three-round burst setup on the modern M4 is far more accurate.

Full-auto is good for two things: zombie apocalypse, and emptying a magazine into the jungle underbrush in hopes of killing Predator.

Bumpfire is too much lke a full auto or machine gun.


ATF will take this away.
