Default GoPro Editor for Windows XP?

I just purchased a GoPro "Hero 3 Black" camera which I'll be using when taking the Crossfire around the Watkins Glen Racetrack in a few weeks. I am searching for a Windows XP friendly editor and welcome any suggestions from someone who is successfully editing .Mp4 clips. My challenge is both my computers are still running Windows XP Pro SP3 which is now out-of-date. I can play back the .Mp4 clips using VTC player (windows media player can't) and I did find freeware "Avidemux" which sorta does the job, but is glitchy. I also tried the freeware edior from GoPro, but it crashes when importing a file.
Is anyone successfully editing .Mp4 clips on their out dated Windows XP SP3 Computer? TIA

Update;
Got it fi
gured out. Downloaded some codecs, file convertor and updated some drivers. I convert the Mp4 file from GoPro to "Movie" file format, then use Microsoft "Movie Maker" to edit project. All working fine.
When we return from our Crossfire Adirondack Tour, I'll upload a clip(s) to YouTube and share with everyone....if you are not familiar with GoPro products, check the camera's out....very small and very cool. Full 1280, 60fms HD and more!
