Default 9/11

Thoughts of 9/11/01 on our minds as we go to sleep tonight.
In the morning and throughout the day we will all be remembering where we were and what we were doing on this day 12 years ago.
Feel free to share your story of where you were when you heard this
news

Goodnight my friends

I know where I was, in my office working, then I went out to the garage to where everyone was gagthereed about the TV. We stood there and watched the second plane hit the WTC live.

When I heard about the pentagon, I thought, "When is this gonna end? How many are there?"

I was at work - it was the birthday of the owner's adult son who also worked in the office and we were planning a mini celebration. The only two people who had as yet arrived were me and the receptionist. One of the staff called in and told us about the first plane. I had to leave and go home. Earlier I had been having some sort of disagreement with my husband - that disagreement disappeared real fast. That evening my husband and I walked in our neighborhood and downtown, just to take a break from the news. Everywhere was extraordinarily quiet. The sadness remains.

I was in my highschool math class and when the first plane hit, the teacher told us to concentrate on the lesson and try not to let everything happening bother us.

I remember vividly hearing about Pearl Harbor or the Kennedy assassination and how everyone knew exactly where they were and what they were doing and I knew that this was HUGE. I got up from my seat and told the teacher I would be watching this historic and tragic event unfold and the math would still be there tomorrow. She told me to go to the principal's office, I did, and watched it with him. No punishment was ever given for my insubordination and I bet the teacher feels pretty silly for not allowing the other kids to see history before their eyes...
