I知 sure this topic has been discussed before and I知 sorry for a repeat. Has anyone had good luck buying a replacement key housing and having it work?

Are you talking about swapping your Key FOB insides to a new key housing? If so, yes it is not that difficult just be sure you don't forget the RFID chip that communicates with the screem There are instructions on this site, just use the search option. If you need a new key make, SOS Diagnostics does it for about $250.00 to $300.00

It DOES seem like finding new cases is getting harder and harder.

Thanks, I just need the housing as the original has worn button covers. I’ve seen a bunch on eBay, but wondered if they really fit?

On eBay there are some that say they are for the Crossfire and SLK, get one of them. https://www.ebay.ca/sch/i.html?_from...cases&_sacat=0
Some others look the same but the old OEM to key does not fit.
I fitted all the old parts in with no trouble, do not lose the chip in the case and do not damage the circuit board.
