Someone told me years ago that you should turn your toilet valves and water intake (into the house) valves every time change.

along with fire alarm batteries.

I always turn off the ball valve on my water main into the house when I leave for a vacation or more than a couple days.

I'm going to guess that it's 2 Lithuanians in an allegedly 1960s British car with a Ford engine on a 1990s Japanese frame with German suspension and Korean tires. The town is Bayonne, NJ!

News Item North Carolina City Spent Millions on Electric Buses That Don’t Run

The city of Asheville, North Carolina, shelled out millions of dollars in 2018 to add five electric buses to its fleet. Now, three of the five sit idle, and city employees are telling the cautionary tale. Asheville’s interim transportation director, Jessica Morriss, told local station WLOS-TV that the three out-of-commission buses are down due to a combination of software issues and mechanical problems, and one has had a broken door since July that can’t be replaced.

when Ideology trumps Common Sense, it results in a Revolting Situation….. ……or at least that’s the way it should be.

And, then there is the LONG lines during the recent cold snap, where the electric vehicles are waiting in lines to recharge. Smacks of the 1970's Arab oil embargo EXCEPT this is all due to our own stupidity. Batteries are running out of juice in the extreme weather, we sure have a monopoly on stupid in the leadership...

Helping one person might not change the world.
However
It could change the world for one person.

I think I disagree. I don't think "they" are stupid, I think they are very good at convincing average people that they, the "leaders", are working for the benefit of the general public.
THey know what they are doing.

The results are in for this most excellent contest !

The result is there is no winner because no one knew it was Brescia, Italy where the photo was taken.

However we do have 2 runner ups !! who have secured a much coveted prize. Zeracer and M60A3driver will each receive

Quality is not achieving perfection.
Though related, the two are not the same.
A state of Perfection is malleable, it can always be improved, redefined, and lies in the expectations of the recipient.

Quality is nothing more than the consistent and reliable delivery of expectations.

But experience is what you get when you didn't get what you wanted.
