Rub it in, we are about 37 deg. and sunny. The driveway is cleared of snow, I get a teenager up the road to do it.
He cuts the grass in the summer, the guy will be rolling in cash soon. My back will not let me do any lifting or pushing and it’s not going to get better. Still, I’m doing better than some
when you look on the bright side of things.

My old friends went out for breakfast Saturday morning. One is a recent amputee from deep vein thrombosis, waiting for his stump to heal so he can wear a prosthetic.. Another lucky one has Parkinson’s, and is able to walk because he uses ski poles.
I count my blessings, instead of sheep

I'm enjoying my retirement by traveling to warmer places to spend time with many Crossfire friends who live in the south.
I'm on a 2 week vacation right now at the moment in Pensacola Florida
My Facebook profile has the many pics of my daily fun
Been in Baton Rouge, New Orleans, Louisiana
Then on to Mobile, Alabama before arriving in Pensacola

Re: Post Something Random (No politics)
It was lucky that I had to retire when I did. My father is just getting back to normal after a doctor screwed up his "routine" pacemaker operation. Long story short, the past almost 2 years has been hell for us. I'm all he has left as far as immediate family.
Life throws all kinds of sh*t at you, you just have to grit your teeth and press on. My car brings me happiness and is my escape from the stress.
I wish you all good health and prosperity.

We should make the most of our younger days, money is not much good when you have reached old age and your health is not the best. So take time out and smell the roses while you can still bend over.
I had good health until I reached 80, then all **** came at me, first it was a ruptured appendix which was found to be cancerous, this resulted in an operation to remove the appendix through three holes and an operation to remove a section of my bowel to see if it had spread, it had not. Then a kidney stone had to be blasted out and then a stent needed to be inserted in my aorta. These four operations were all in the space of five months. I count myself much luckier than many, many others. I just wish I could count on adding photos to my posts when I want to.
My sons father in law lies motionless in a bed after a series of strokes, he can move a few fingers and knows whose around him, not a good situation to be in, he is 73. A family friends grand daughter had a really rare brain tumour, she died last month, she was 6 years old and had been sick for 4 years.
My father and his father both dropped dead at 72 years of age, I was relieved when I hit 73 .
So make the most of your time and enjoy it as much as you can and remember, no one leaves this game alive.

……….making good points about the rush to EV
More and more spokesmen and experts are truly saying to the world is that mandates – government deciding what can and cannot go to market – and the huge subsidies that go along with them (which would be unnecessary in a true emergency) are at war with the wisdom of the market, which relies on true public opinion as to what is best for the consumer.
