While Brad is 6'8", I wonder if they are not 'padding' his seat to exaggerate his height to make the car look more and more impractical, this would give 'her' more basis to take shots at him.

Re: Post Something Random (No politics)
Possibly the Most important thing you'll read this Year...
The following is the philosophy of Charles Schulz, the creator of the 'Peanuts' comic strip.
You don't have to actually answer the questions. Just ponder on them. Just read it straight through, and you'll get the point.
1. Name the five wealthiest people in the world.
2. Name the last five Heisman trophy winners.
3. Name the last five winners of the Miss America pageant.
4. Name ten people who have won the Nobel or Pulitzer Prize.
5. Name the last half dozen Academy Award winners for best actor and actress.
6. Name the last decade's worth of World Series winners.
How did you do?
The point is, none of us remember the headliners of yesterday. These are no second-rate achievers. They are the best in their fields.
But the applause dies.
Awards tarnish.
Achievements are forgotten.
Accolades and certificates are buried with their owners.
Here's another quiz. See how you do on this one:
1. List a few teachers who aided your journey through school.
2. Name three friends who have helped you through a difficult time.
3. Name five people who have taught you something worthwhile.
4. Think of a few people who have made you feel appreciated and special.
5. Think of five people you enjoy spending time with.
Easier?
The lesson:
The people who make a difference in your life are not the ones with the most credentials, the most money ... or the most awards. They simply are the ones who care the most.

A person who truly loves you will give you two things without motivation or reasons.
1) They will give you their time in any situation.
2) They will always give you respect.
The greatest respect a married couple can give each other is captured in the phrase "forsaking all others".
This is not just about or limited to sexuality. This includes forsaking all, men and women, who's influences place the union in jeopardy.

Re: Post Something Random (No politics)
I have been following a utube show called caredge.com where the focus is on helping the consumer understand and navigate the tricky world of car buying. the Host has 50 plus years in Automotive Sales, evident in the web site which offers tons of real time industry data.
A quote from yesterday’s show caught my eye - “ 83% of Americans cannot afford a new car”. A stunning statement by any means that really amplifies the economic woes now facing this Country, higher jobless numbers, the inflation index that’s only getting worse, and the decision makers who are responsible for the disastrous misdirection to electric vehicles.
Who are our betters that have pushed us into this delima ? Doesn’t matter if it’s Food, Energy, Manufacturing, Distribution, or Immigration
There’s a whole lotta stuff going on, percolating in the background.
The 83% is rising.

The other question is why they would buy a new car / truck that they can't afford? I have the means to buy a new car but instead drive a reliable 16-year-old car because I learned a long time ago, I hate car payments. A new car is only new the first year and many finance for 5 - 7 years.

I am so against buying a new anything involving all those computers that remove the DRIVING a vehicle out of the equation. Not to mention (yeah, will anyway), those damn vehicles just about HAVE TO BE returned to a dealership/mechanic that has scores of thousands of dollars in test equipment (if any mechanic can even get a hold of them), to diagnose/work on them. My 2001 Ranger Edge, 2002 B4C Camaro, and my GraphiteGhost 2008 Crossfire is the latest model year vehicles I will own (and no, I do not 'lease'). Give me a vehicle without those computers and I'll keep it on the road. Too bad it has gone way too far from that reality, huh?

I do not make car payments. Never will ever again. Total waste of money, I love my truck, my Roadster and "Animal" which had the biggest V Twin engine in the motorcycle world up till 2017.

My last new car was a truck in 1993 that I paid $11,800 for new. I did buy a new Kawasaki Vulcan in 2022 for $9100 but other than that, my truck now is 19 years old, paid $9000 for it. My Crossfire is 17 years old, paid $9000 for it. The current motorcycle is a 2006 and I paid $4500 for it and put $1500 in it.

We just got 'Covid' last month, and now dealing with that 'Long Covid' crap. Persistant deep lung cough that seems to drag on. NO IDEA who or where we got it but I got it a day after Mrs. 102+ degrees for three days, miserable...
Same, we use CC companies monies & pay off every month (no interest charges applied). No new car since the Crossfire and paid cash (in the form of a check). Also do not believe in a 'mortgage' for a vehicle (seems like a mortgage, they finance from months to 84 months now ( How Long Should You Finance A Car? – Forbes Advisor ), CRAZY).

Re: Post Something Random (No politics)
I have always had this hunch that there is some kind of cosmic connection with those who understand how and why things function. They see things on another dimension that allows an appreciation of efficiency and an irritation with a design flaw. More importantly, an urge to correct it.
always with an eye on preventive maintenance. You know the old saying, Good, Better, Best. Never let it rest…….
Spending your money wisely is part of that irritation with a bad design.
