That's a very interesting observation, I've noted this as well. It's like a deeper understanding of how things work lets one see thru the facade of shiny new paint and "new car smell".

For me, COVID (and I did test positive) was over in four days and I was back at work - working alone away from others for another ten days. My taste and smell were back in about four weeks.


As to a mortgage for a car - yes, a LOAN for a car is 1-2 years. 72 or 84 months is a mortgage. I admit I did borrow $5500 for the bike, but at 2.4% I took it as "free money" and paid off the $5500 in seven months anyway. That was my first vehicle loan in a LONG time. It will be my last vehicle loan, I assure you.
