rubbing noice in the interior
Hi,
I have now been driving my car for a few miles, not so much and some noices have appeared. I have now some rubbing noice from the right side of the dashboard. I don't now what it might be and while driving it is really hard to see where it might come from.
Has anyone had that kind of a problem. So the sound is like rubber parts rubbing against each other.
It is really annoying and specialy when driving on raods made of cobblestone.
Where and what would you check first? And if had the same problem what was it.

Without a lil more information it's going to be really difficult to determine what maybe the issue here. Could be something as simple as the glovebox lid not being properly aligned to something caught in the A/C fan. I would start by tryin to isolate the noise and pinpoint the cause. You may have to have someone drive the car while you're over in the passenger seat givin a listen in.
Good luck !

Mine makes a plastic squeaking noise on the right side of the dash. I have located it to just right or the center air vents. Usually I can just push on it and it will stop, but some times I have to wack it. Seems like a lot of the plastic parts are held together with serrated tabs, kind of like a cable tie. Some you can push on and get one more click tighter.
I get rubbing in the lower right corner of the silver plastic bezel around ht radio/switches.
Push on it, it goes away. Ill take care of it this summer with some foam.

I have used a product called Super Lube, it is a spray product like WD-40 but contains no petroleum products. It contains Teflon and worked quite well for me, no smell and non flammable.
