SRT6 Roadster windscreens
I just got a Black SRT6 Roadster and was looking at windscreens for it. Does anyone have any good suggestions? I've seen the etched illuminated ones, does anyone have good or bad experience with those? How about the plexi compared to the mesh type? Does any particular style offer advantages over the other, like mounting issues, wear and tear, etc?
Thanks!
Thanks!
Welcome Newbee! I mean that in a positive way!
I too just acquired a roadster (not BLACK thankfully!) and will be looking for a windscreen.
Did a search and found this LINKY.
Will watch your post to see what else pops up.

Welcome to the forum.
Lots of good reads here.
Lots of people here have the etched polycarbonate, model with lights.
They seem to love them, and they do look nice.
I got the mesh version from Adamsmesh. A little spendy, but it really fits the car nicely,
Looks factory.
Here is a thread on those

Welcome!
There has been much discussion (search for "windblocker") on various solutions. A few people have had the opportunity to try multiple solutions, so there are some objective comparisons between solutions.
My choice was based on cost-performance, and I am adequately contented with the WindBlox solution (Chrysler Crossfire Windscreen Windblocker Wind Deflector Windstop)

Thanks for the input guys. I am really liking the looks of the lighted poly etched one and was thinking it would look good with the lighted door sills as well. I'd go with blue on the black body. I am interested in the mounting on the poly style. Is it a robust mount and doesn't wiggle around after some use in high speed. How does it compare to the mesh style. The pics of the mesh style look really nice. And finally, yes Black is a tough color in the desert southwest but even though I have my home in AZ I am working in So. Cal for now so the heat isn't a big deal till I go back home. Hopefully I won't be doing that before summer is done frying the desert.
I was also wondering how most of you with the lighted poly hooked it up. Did you go the brake switch path, batteries, etc and how difficult was it to do, how long did it take. Also, any input on the lighted door sills?
Thanks again for your input!

I like the mesh, it's the one I own.

I agree with a few others. I like the mesh windscreen the best. It looks like it's made for the car, and it functions flawlessly. Well worth the money!
Welcome to the forum!
So I went out and rode in a friends Beemer Roadster and has both a mesh and an acrylic wind screen. I definitely do not think I want the acrylic one now. His mesh one is similar to the one for the Xfr. So one more question, I think. Does it rattle or chatter against the rollbars or anything else? I like the understated aspect of it too as well as some flow though. I just checked their website and the price is now $295.96 USD.
I guess I should have bought my car sooner
!

Geoff from Adamesh Windscreens in the UK was offering a $40 credit to the first 10 buyers. I was the first one to purchase one from this company and had a fantastic experience. Check out my review on it HERE: (about halfway down the 2nd page) https://www.crossfireforum.org/forum...iffuser-2.html.
If you're serious about the investment, I'd email Geoff and ask him if he's still offering the credit. I posted his email address in that thread.
To answer your question, NO it does not rattle at all. 85mph with the top down and it's nothing but smooth sailing with NO rattles.
Good luck!
Thanks for the great input! I guess I should have done more homework after seeing the other thread, Oops.
I'll contact him and see how quick I can get one. I'll actually get my car next weekend.
This will be my second purcahse for this car. The first was a car cover. Next will be the intercooler and CAI kit.
Cheers!

Got my car this weekend and installed the Adamesh windscreen. Went really easy and looks and works great. I do wish there was something to plug the rectangular holes left from the unbrella holders. Did anyone else find a solution to this?
Cheers!

Welcome to the Forum!! I have a black SRT also got my windrestrictor from Dynamic Auto Concepts - Your source for high-end Wind Restrictor™s for roadsters. I love mine. I had mine etched using a design I had. I modified the car to look like my roadster. I also had the bottom inside with the Crossfire name to illuminate on the inside. They make a dimmer switch you can buy extra for it for 100.00 , but I just bought a potentiometer and a box for it. cost about 15 bucks. I suggest if you get a lighted one to do that because it is very bright!
Here is our version. It's 3/8" and very strong. Guaranteed never to fade, yellow, rip or crack. Right now we're having a wonderful holiday promotion for 50% off custom graphics to help you personalize your Crossfire. Or, if wanting the SRT6 logos or crossfire graphics we're offering 15% off and currently we're offering free shipping on all orders.
