I have that same MOMO shifter. I love it. Had it since last march. I cut like an inch off the top of the stick to make it sit lower. Now that everyone is doing the custom shift boots im considering getting one.

I was recently PM'd about the shift boot so I figured I would bump this thread.

If you look in my gallery there are very detailed pics of the alcantara boot. I too worried it would be too much, but I really like the fit and finish and thinks it adds a nice touch. That Momo Raptor **** is great too.....
Looks like I had good intentions, hell I even uploaded the picture, just could not remember where I was supposed to post it LOL. I must be getting old

Thats funny that you remember a year later. Anyway, it was worth the wait. Nice looking shifter/boot combo.

Everything about this car is custom, it's the Hooters Special Edition.

- Remove shift *** and the plastic peices around the gear selection display

- Put the plastic trim piece in bottom of shift boot. Make sure it is centered how you want it and that be careful it is very brakeable

- Push the shift boot threw the center and set the shift *** inside

- Put the bottom cap on the shifter before you push the *** on. This is very important. be careful when pushing it on so that the cap does not get damaged

- Make sure there is material is all they around and able to get in the cap. If there is too much you will never be able to screw it on so what I had in the previous pic is good enough

- Put the car in neutral and jently push the ring down makeing sure there is just enough material tucked under to hide the edges.

- push it down tight and there you go. Put the car in park. Done

- The switch with the W and S is still useable, you can feel for it right threw the leather and switch it at any time.
Noted!!

Beaner, you rock. I'm planning a lil sum-sump'n for mine along these lines...

Sorry to bring up a old thread.

Does anyone know where I can buy a black with black stiching or black with silver/grey stiching shift boot?

Many thanks.

The bottom half of the **** unscrews from the top half of the ****. The boot is trapped between the two parts of the **** on assembly.
Here is the conversion in a .pdf format for easy printing. CLICK
