CF Fabric A-Pillars (and soon headliner)
So about a year ago -- my headliner fell and I tried reupholstering. I did virtually no prep-work and was rushed on the fabric adhesion. It fell again. Understandable.
I decided, finally, to try again with carbon fiber fabric this time.
3M 77 was not good enough for the Arkansas heat... so this time I decided to try 3M Headliner fabric. It just does not come out thick enough to satisfy me. In addition -- my CF fabric is INCREDIBLY thin with no foam backing.. so every bump, imperfection, wrinkle -- is glaringly obvious.
I prepped the headliner -- took 3 bottles of Goof-Off and scraping with razorblades + sanding to get smooth"ish".
Started in the center with 3M headliner -- but after 10 minutes to tack and stretching as LITTLE as possible, even the center spine fabric was peeling away almost immediately.
Anyway -- I had really great results with DAP weldwood contact cement on the pillars.. so I went and got a pint of it to use on the headliner. I think the thicker consistency will benefit me with better coverage and maybe even be more forgiving with small bumps and blemishes.
Here's a shot of the pillars.

Finally put the headliner back in today. What a nightmare, there is NO good way to get it out or in without bending some area. I had to wrap parts of the headliner (especially the parts that go under a pillars) in duct tape before laying on adhesive because the integrity of the headliner board was so severely compromised.
...and those were the exact areas that I had to bend to get it back in. Some nasty creases nut they are fortunately hidden by the a pillars.
I've heard everyone say they've had these done for $100 , but I've never been quoted less than $200 for reupholstery... not including removing the headliner.
In the process, I've lost the screws to my dome light, and broke fasteners for the rear pillars.
The headliner board would likely not survive another removal and installation without having major issues as far as the material ripping entirely off in certain places (again, mainly the front that tucks under the a pillars).
Can't believe Chrysler never issued a recall/fix for something that happens to virtually every single one of the cars prematirely. I was not even to 25k when it happened and many others were newer than that.
Just a rant. Lots of frustration. Definitely don't recommend wasting time doing this at home, even if it costs $200+ to have a shop do it.
I used an entire quart of contact cement and gave it over two weeks set time. If this falls, I'm over this car. -_- ..and all the "quirks" that Chrysler has managed to get away with.

I did mine with 3m super77 nearly three years ago, but my friend sprayed it using a compressor setup, not rattle cans, it worked very well. I took off the old fabric and scuffed the surface, but did virtually no prep at all.
I used CF on mine and it looks great, it is not pulling away anywhere, yet. I had to very slightly bend the HL to get it in and out, but nothing that would damage it.
That sucks it was such a pain for you. It sure does look good when it is done, doesn't it?
I am thinking of carrying mine all the way back through the rear of the car, covering all the grey plastic...

The ******* fabric fell again, already -- temps outside around 80 degrees.
I am pissed off about this car. I am absolutely done with messing with this. I used an entire quart of contact cement and did it over the course of 2 months to ensure the adhesion would take place properly.
At $22/yard for this fabric plus my time.. I am pissed. And the headliner board is so degraded I don't know if a shop will do it for me.
